It's been three days since I killed Daddy.

I've been hiding in the forest, and the only thing I've been able to eat since then was the hunted corpse of some dead deer. At first I had felt repulsed by the creature, but it's scent seemed to draw me to it. I remember waking up and talking to the other me. The other me, who can stop the voices.

*(flashback 2 days ago)*

"I'm so hungry!" I wailed to myself and listened to the silence in my sorrows. It was then that I suddenly heard a voice other than my own.

"Then let us feast sister." The voice crooned. It seemed to come out of nowhere. I stood up in my alarm. "Who are you?! Where are you?!" I gasped.

"I am you, for you are me, sister." The voice was a new one, more clear and very close by. It almost seemed as though I could feel a breath on my neck.

At this my eyes widened I spun around frantically searching for where the voice was taunting me from. "Come on, don't be this thick headed!" It said as a nagging sense in the back of my head made me look down at the pool of water I had been sleeping next to the previous night.

I stared in disbelief as I saw the very same monster that had compelled me to kill those men, smirking back at me. The one with the pointed teeth, slitted eye, and unnatural grin.

Smiling devilishly the creature spoke in a scratchy ancient sounding voice. "Finally! I was getting bored." The me in the reflection pouted. "What do you want..?" I said in a quiet voice. "Sorry couldn't quite hear that, what did you say?" She asked in a mocking tone.

"I said, WHAT. DO. YOU. WANT?!" I shouted the last part. Surely she could hear me now.

My voice was shaky and uneven and even now I was panting because of my lack of energy and parched throat. The girl seemed to sense this and her gaze softened. "Let me take control for a few seconds so I can find us food." She said simply. "And how do I know you won't take permanent control?" I asked my stomach growling. Like I even knew what that meant.

"You don't" she replied sternly. I suddenly had a huge stab of pain in my lower belly. "Fine!" I groaned, almost whimpering.

Immediately I felt my teeth expanding, I reached into my pocket grabbing for the small mirror. As soon as I felt my hand rap around it I pulled it out and stared into my now inhuman eyes. Once again my left eye was glowing and my right was a catlike slit. That's the last thing I remembered before I lost consciousness.

When I woke up again I was hunched over a bloody deer that seemed to have had most of the meat ripped out of it's insides. I had somehow appeared in an empty clearing. I looked back down at my blue polka-dot dress that was now covered in even more blood than before. I shrugged and continued munching on my raw dish. It was surprisingly tasty considering it used to be alive only minutes earlier. I had no idea how I knew it, but I knew that fact was true. I was no longer hungry when I finally left the bloodied clearing.

My quenched stomach only lasted for about 12 hours, I didn't know how the girl had killed the deer, especially because my knife was clean afterwards, but I was happy. I seemed to have a friend in my life now. "Thank you," I had whispered after finishing my meal.

*(end of flashback)*

Now I was starving. My hunger felt worse than before and unlike then, the demon girl showed no signs of helping. To make matters more terrible it had started raining. As I stared up into the darkening sky, a hand was placed on my shoulder. "Are you alone?" I turned around and was greeted by a boy who looked about twice my age. His hair was grey almost black and he was wearing a strange costume, he looked like an evil Link from Legend of Zelda, I realized.

The only reason I noticed this was because I had heard about him on the T.V, when people were being interviewed. The show always took place in the middle of a street or in front of someones house. The people were always crying though, and I never knew why.

They would sit there with a look of pure terror plastered on their faces as they talked to a man or woman about things I couldn't understand. Surely the show wasn't that popular, the actors were great and all but the people talked too much and there wasn't a lot of action unlike in my movies like Tom and Jerry. In the show they had called him a 'murder', I wonder why?

"Are you alone?" The boy repeated the question, I had completely forgotten that he was still standing there.

It took my awhile but I shook my head no. "Who is looking after you?"

He asked in the same calm tone, his eyebrows slanted in a concerned way. "My name is DarkLink but you can just call me Dark" as he said it I felt a jolt in my body telling me to say something.

"No one is looking after me but myself, I'm not alone though." I said in a slightly hesitant, but dignified voice. I also tilted my head up high to make myself look taller. My hunger forgotten, I stared right back at the boy. Though I had no idea how I had the feeling, what I had said was very true. An idea suddenly popped into my mind. Something I wanted to know. I cut him off before he could ask me what I meant.

"How do you become a murder?" I asked it in the sweet voice of a child, clearly taking him off guard. "What?" he was confused. "I want to know how someone becomes a murder." I said it again, his face contorts as he realizes what I am asking him. "Do you mean murderer? And why do you want to know?" he asked suspiciously.

"Because I know you are one, and I want to know if I am too." I said bluntly.

He sighed and tangled his hand in this hair. When he looks back down at me he realizes that my clothes are stained with blood. "Murderers are people who kill other people." He said it cautiously finally taking in my full appearance. When he said this I grinned to myself. "Killing someone is murdering someone!" I said in a jolly voice that confused him. "Why are you so happy? How are you OK with that?" He asked for he mentally could not understand my joy.

"Because now I have a new friend!" as I said it I jumped happily, still smiling.

"Friend?" He said it slowly as though he had never had a friend before.

"Yeah, we're friends because we both have something in common!" I said giggly. He was obviously still confused.

I held my hand out for him to shake it, he was taller than me so he had to bend down to look me in the eyes.

"Look kid, I don't know what game you're playing, but I'm gonna have to be heading back to camp soon so I really think you should run on home."

I looked at him for a couple minutes. "I'm sorry Mr. but I can't really do that." I said it in an even tone as I stared at the soaked ground.

"Why not?" He asked as he put his hands on my shoulders making me look up at him. "Because I'm a murderer too." I said it sadly. This statement caught him off guard again. "Well aren't you full of surprises." He said it in a surprised chuckle.

But I think that he knew it ever since he saw that I had blood on my dress. "Well then I guess you're coming with me!" As he said it he picked me up and put me on his shoulders. As we were about to start our walk into the forest he asked me two more questions. "Hey, what's your name by the way?" I never realized it but it was true, he didn't know my name. "Kelly, Kelly Stelt." I said it calmly but it surprised me that I would tell this man my real name. I shook off that feeling, mature people didn't feel surprise.

"Hey Kelly, what happened to your eye?" He asked.

"Daddy" That one word finished our conversation and with that we walked into the Mist shrouded forest to find Dark's camp.
