My alarm started blasting at full volume at 4:20 AM, waking me up immediately. I found my way to the noise, pressing the 'Stop' button at the bottom.

I sat up, rubbing my eyes, scanning the room. I threw the covers off my body, the cold hit me immediately, making me shiver. I made my way to Mai's bed, softly shaking her.

"Mai, come on, get up." I said in a soft tone.

She started groaning, barely awake. I shook her harder.

"Okay...I'm getting up." She spoke.

"I'm gonna take a shower." I responded.

After getting out of the shower, I told Mai I'd go into the training room for a bit if she wanted to join me. She told me she would.

I slowly walked there, scanning my surroundings just in case. I eventually made it and opened the door. I dropped all my belongings on the bench, walking towards the shooting targets.

----

I spent about 20 minutes doing normal warmups, waiting for Mai to hurry up and come in here, then I heard the door open, but it was heavy footsteps, not normally like Mai's. I quickly took my knife out of my holster, throwing it behind me. But I didn't hear any conflict, so I turned around.

I saw a skull face inches away from mine, holding my knife. He was staring deep into my eyes. His blue eyes were so perfect. His blond eyelashes. Why do I feel this way?

"Practice on your aiming." He spoke up in a rough voice. He was still standing there.

"Practice on your manners." I shot back. I could tell he furrowed his brow. I smirked at the realization.

"Practice your close combat with me, I need to know if you're any good." He replied to me, turning around and standing across from me. I scoffed.

"Alright then." I stood there in my fighting stance. "So, do I countdown or-" I was interrupted by him punching my gut. I coughed immediately. My only instinct was to kick him in the balls, so I did. I instantly heard a grunt come from him. I punched him in his chest and then pushed him onto the floor.

I was on top of him, basically straddling him. His arms kept trying to hold onto my waist to roll me over, but I put up a fight. I grew tired after another minute of him struggling, and he rolled me over, so now he was on top of me. He pinned my arms on the ground, intently staring at me.

And of course, Mai walked in at that moment. She instantly laughed. We both turned our heads toward her.

"Am I interrupting something?" She jokingly questioned. Ghost immediately looked her way, then back at me, seeing how it looks. I started laughing hysterically. He quickly got off of me and muttered something. I got up and walked towards Mai.

"You're blushing." She started grinning at me.

"I am not!" I retorted. "Okay, sure." She chuckled as she walked out. Leaving me alone with him again.

"You suck ass." I chuckled.

"Yeah, I do." He said, making a dirty joke. I saw a smile under the mask, it immediately made me blush. Wait, he had humor? I glared at him, getting ready to fight again. He started charging at me, making a right hook toward my face. I swiftly dodged it. I returned with a knee in his chest, then kicked his arm, making him stumble, barely keeping his balance. He stood up, thrusting his long leg around mine, making me tumble onto my back. He stomped his boot onto my chest, making me slightly wheeze.

I growled, getting a bit upset, that's when I saw him bring his knife out, getting ready to aim. I started panicking, trying to get his foot off of me. I eventually got out and slid upwards. But then he threw his knife at that exact moment, not predicting for me to get out. I widened my eyes and felt it hit my arm. I saw his eyes widen, he most likely was trying to miss.

"Son of a bitch!" I yelled at the pain. I held onto the knife trying to ease the pain but it made it worse.

"Bloody hell." He mumbled, kneeling down to my arm. He glimpsed into my eyes for a second, then put one hand on my head, and another under both of my legs, carrying me like a princess. I cringed at the realization but for some strange reason, I loved it. He stood up, turning towards the door.

"I'll go get a first aid kit." He spoke up while walking out of the room.

"I can walk on my own, it's not like my leg is injured!" I whined, squirming. He opened the door, stepping into the hall. I looked around making sure no one was around, this would be very embarrassing. And of course, I saw Soap. He immediately started grinning.

"Looks like you guys got quite close in 24 hours. Very close." He continued smiling while walking towards us. I rolled my eyes.

"Don't be inappropriate." I answered back. He glimpsed at the knife piercing through my arm, shit, the thought made me feel the pain again.

"What happened?" He looked at Ghost and me back and forth, waiting for an answer. Ghost just stood there staring down at me waiting for me to reply. I rolled my eyes.

"This bitch threw it at my arm." I grumbled. I finally got out of his hold, standing back on the floor. Finally, I felt like my face was a tomato. Soap looked at Ghost with his hands on his hips, looking confused.

"Practice." He shot back.

"Yeah, sure you prick." I looked annoyed, staring at the knife. I wrapped my hand around it, wincing at the ache. I quickly pulled it on my arm. I stared at the blood on the knife and then the blood gushing out my arm. I wiped the knife on my shirt, put it in my holster then quickly held the wound.

"Thanks for the knife." I said to Ghost, him already staring at me. He didn't respond.

"Well," Soap piped up. "I'll let you guys get back to business." He smirked then turned around and walked away. I stared at Ghost, him already staring at me.

"Don't be a creep and give me your first-aid kit." I let out. He brushed past me, literally knocking into my injured arm. Bitch.

-----

We reached his room and he went for the doorknob but paused and turned toward me.

"Stay out here." He demanded.

"Okay?" I looked confused. He walked into the room, slamming it afterward. Is he on his period or something?
