A Very Moody Start

I boarded the Hogwarts Express starting my 4th year. I decided to sit with Draco and his lackeys, Missy with me on her leash.

"Hi Missy."

Pansy started petting Missy on the head.

"Now that's surprising," I said.

"What's surprising Riddle, me admitting Missy's cute?"

"Exactly Parkinson!"

"I've warmed up to her since last year ok-"

We were interrupted by the trolley treat lady shouting.

"Anything from the trolley!?"

She got to us.

"Anything from the trolley dears?"

Me and Draco got up at the same time.

"A box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans please," Draco said.

"Of course. And for you deary?"

"A cauldron cake and a licorice wand."

She gave the treats to us

"Thanks."

We sat back down. I opened up the licorice wand box.

"Missy, I will give you a couple small pieces then that's it."

"I thought dogs couldn't eat licorice," Crabbe said.

"Not in large amounts though, the amount I'm giving her is harmless."

I saw a group of Ravenclaw girls walking in the corridor towards where Harry, Ron, and Hermione was sitting.

"Two pumpkin pasties please?" I heard Cho Chang say.

I walked to the doorway and watched Harry look at her smiling as she left with her treats.

"Anything sweet for you dear?"

"Oh no thank you."

He saw me looking at him, he smiled and waved, as soon as I was gonna wave, I was bumped into by one of the girls.

"Oops, sorry Riddle."

"Watch where you're going ok!"

"Ok sorry."

They passed by, Harry looked at me.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"Yeah, stuck up they are."

We chuckled.

"The way you were looking at Chang, you know she's out of your league."

"Yeah, I know."

"Back inside please!" A prefect said.

"Sorry," we said.

"Let's not deduct points already."

We went back in our cabins.

"I kept Missy from getting into your cauldron cakes," Draco said.

"Thanks."

I sat down and gave Missy a piece of licorice.

"Look out the window!" Pansy said.

We looked and saw a flying carriage with horses in front.

"I thought those horses were thestrials at first glance," I said as we sat down.

"You know what thestrials look like?" Crabbe asked.

"Yes I do...oh...oh yeah...this is awkward. One of the orphans had a bad heart and unfortunately collapsed while we were washing up for dinner one Christmas Eve night, she died right in front of me at the tender age of nine...same age as me at the time."
