Chapter 5

Aayushman

I woke up in the morning at 6 besides Aarav who was asleep on the bed. Being a morning person really sucked, especially when all your friends are not one. I went outside to the hall and saw Kyra, who was already awake. She was listening to some music with her earphones on and was vibing to it. I suppose she was making coffee. I leaned onto the wall looking at her while smiling. I thought I would never meet someone who would be able to walk into my heart again. But, here I am, simping over my 'friend' with whom I am moving in and trying to start a relationship. More likely, trying to make her fall in love with me.

I decided to end her mini dance session by going and leaning on the kitchen counter besides her. I ruffled my hair which made my bed hair more messier. Her eyes widened and she removed her earphones and asked, "Good Morning Aayushman! Didn't expect anyone to be awake, considering the both of them are sleepyheads. Do you want some coffee?" I returned her the smile and said," Yes. I would love to have it. I'm a coffee person and a morning person. So I am up usually at 6. And umm, you can call me Aayu." She gave me a cup of coffee and said, "Same, but sometimes I just have a lazy day so I sleep in when I feel like." We both went to the balcony which had the view of the shore and enjoyed the view while talking and bickering over stupid things.

"I wanted to ask you, what do you like to eat? As it is a Sunday and we don't have office, I was thinking of cooking myself for tonight's dinner as it is at my place." , she asked curiously. I giggled and said, "We all love to eat so we are okay with everything. But for my part, I love to eat butter chicken with rice. I know it's weird but it tastes good." She let out a small laugh which made my smile grow wider. She said a okay and got back to drinking the coffee. We were talking when I said, "Do tell me if you need my help. Like I'm quite good with cooking. I can help you in it." "Umm Okay, do you maybe wanna come over after getting ready? I'll text you the address. Be there by 5:30, we can have a coffee like now while talking.", she smiled and went inside to wash her cup while I decided to enjoy the sea view a little more.

We left after having breakfast. I dropped her at her apartment and went home and saw my mother sitting on the sofa while talking with Abhi. I back hugged my mom who just slapped my hand slightly and said, "Aayush, I know it's you. Sit and talk with us now. How are you?" I giggled like a small boy and said, "Well, I'm good and I wanted to inform you, we are going out for dinner tonight. It's a surprise where." I sat down besides her when Abhi was talking about random stuff in the office, while I was still lost while thinking what would be Kyra doing right now.

I was distracted when my mom snapped her fingers in front of my face and teasingly said, "Seems like someone is thinking about someone and doesn't want to have lunch." "I'm not thinking about Kyra and lets go and have our lunch." , I said and got up to leave. "I never said anyone's name." , she smirked while I just whined. After lunch, everyone were taking rest when I decided to get some work done. Soon I decided to get ready so that I can leave and help Kyra in the preparations.

KYRA

He dropped me at my penthouse apartment, which wasn't far away from Aarav and Elena's house. I decided to clean up the house as it was a little messy when I left the last week. I texted my parents that we would be having dinner at my place and started cooking. Soon I completed cooking the butter chicken and the other stuff that I had decided to cook. I decided to get ready as Aayu would be here soon. I wore a simple white summer dress with blue flowers on it. I had just got back from my room to the hall to switch on the air con when the door bell rang.

Aayushman was standing out wearing a sky blue jeans with a white t-shirt and a smile on his face. "Hello! Welcome to my heavenly abode. Make yourself comfortable here. Just give me two minutes. I'll show you around the house." , I said and went to switch on the air cons. Once I was back, I quickly took him on a small tour. I showed him the view from the gallery which made his eyes sparkle, in which I could stare all along. We then went to the 3 other guest rooms in the house and then went to show him my room.

Once we were back to the hall, I went to prepare coffee for us. "Well, I feel we should stay in two different rooms. And stay in one once we get comfortable." , Aayushman said when I was coming back with his cup of coffee. "I agree with it. It would be better if we would do so. Anyways what type of coffee do you want to have? I have every thing from mocha to macchiato." ,I said while going to the kitchen. "I'll go for an iced Americano." , He said and sat on the chair in the dining area. I quickly made us coffee and went to him. We talked about random things and didn't realized how time passed by. 

I heard the bell ring and I went to open the door. It was none other than my sister, Kiara who was standing there with a done look on her face. "What's wrong?" , I asked her while pulling her in for a light hug. "Nothing, I can't believe mom and dad can't be here for my graduation." , she said and went to the living room. On Seeing Aayushman sitting there she said, "Did I come over at the wrong time or something? Should I leave?" "Yaaahh, didn't mom dad tell you about it?" , I asked her confusingly. "Well I was angry so I left the house without listening to them.", she nervously replied. 

I mumbled," You and your anger issues. I'm done dealing with them. Anyways, we all are having dinner here. Aayu's family is gonna be here too. Go and get ready. You seem tired after your classes. I have kept your extra clothes in my cupboard so yea." She mumbeled a thanks and ran to my room. I tapped Aayushman's shoulder,"Aa-Aayu When are your parents going to come? Should I warm up the food?" He looked at me while smiling and said, "Sure! I think they would be here soon. What about your parents? I'm kind of nervous about telling them." I laughed softly and said, "I think they'll be here soon. And ummm, I'm nervous too but I really believe in us and think we can work out and if you want my honest opinion, I do like you and find you attractive. Not only that but also I have opened up this is much someone after years. I know it has happened in such a short period of time. But I reallyy really hope we can be together."

I looked at him with my starry eyes. He wrapped his right arm around my shoulder and said, "I do trust us and I like you too. And I hope we last long too. Isn't that the main  motive of staying together. So I think it wont be difficult to convince our parents. I have been wanting to ask you, can I taste some of the butter chicken? It smells really good!" I smiled while looking at him and got up to get him some. He took a bite and said while being very happy, "It tastes so good! I'm in love with it! This is the best butter chicken I have ever had!"

 To my surprise, both of our parents entered at the same time. Everyone were talking about random stuff while I served dinner with Aayu, who offered to help me. Soon everyone were sitting in their places, and only two chairs were left, that to just next to each other. Aayushman and I went and sat down while to eat the dinner and then tell the plan to them. 

Ayushman said after completing his dinner," We want to tell you something. After giving a thought about the marriage which you had planned for us when we were children, we have decided to live together for a few months so we can get to know more about each other. And eventually get married if we like each other or something. We aren't forcing ourselves into this and we have taken the decision voluntarily. we are going to move into this apartment as it is accessible to our workplace as well as close to our houses. Basically we wanna stay in a live in relationship for a few months."

I spoke after him,"I think it would help us understand each others nature comepletely. And maybe if we do like each others presence or start liking each other, we can get married later on." His father said in a strict voice, "Well you both can go, give us some time to talk about it. We will let you know our decision soon." I nervously pulled Aayushman with his t-shirt who was going to rebel and took him to the guest room on the floor. "Why did you stop me from speaking?", he asked me with a frown on his face. "I trust in them and we need to have some cards to convince the, if they don't allow us right now."

He silent for a moment and then said, "Yes, you are right. I should think before I speak. You want to know something? I'm nervous as f*ck right now.", he ended the sentence with a minor nervous laugh. "Really? THE AAYUSHMAN OBEROI IS GETTING NERVOUS? Did I hear it correct?", I said with a surprised expression while laughing. He was just staring at me with a soft gaze. I went near him and gave him a side hug and told him it would be okay. Just as I pulled out, Kiara came and told us to go outside as our parents had called us.
