Chapter 12

Aayushman

Finally it was the day we are flying to New York City. We had booked the entire business class for the department heads and us. Abhi had somehow made sure that Kyra and I were seating next to each other. I literally wanted to kill him, cause I literally can't stop talking to her and get affectionate with her when we are close, and this was definitely not acceptable considering we were going out for work, that too with the other department heads.  I had plugged in my earphones and had wrapped myself in a blanket so that I would stop getting distracted due to the woman of my dreams sitting next to me.

I felt her poke my hand, without anyone noticing. I opened my eyes and asked her what happened. She told me she was bored and wanted to talk. I told her to tell me what she was wanting to tell me. She told me what she was feeling, while I listened to her talks endlessly. Honestly, I wanted to hold her as close to as possible as she was not going to be with me for the next few days and I was really sad. 

We landed after a long flight to NYC and were finally done with collecting our bags. There was a bus taking the department heads to their hotel, while Abhi and I had asked our chauffer here to take us to our house. Kyra on the other hand was waiting for her cousin to come and pick her up. I offered to drop her, but she told me that her cousin had sent a car to pick her up and it was just at the entrance of the airport. Soon a black Porsche came inside and stopped in front of her.  I quickly kissed her forehead and told her to text me once she reaches her house. She replied an okay when the driver put her luggage in the car. She smiled and went inside the car, whose windows were black. The driver sat and drove her off.

Abhi and I too got into our car and drove off to our house. It was already evening and was soon going to be dinner time when we reached. So we decided to take pizza from Jo's pizza and then get back home. I was in my room, looking at the New York skyline with a glass of whiskey in my hand. I was shirtless and practically done with Kyra as she was behaving weirdly lately. I sighed and got on my bed. I was missing her terribly, but was also ferocious over her behaviour during the past few hours because she was not taking my phone.

KYRA

We had finally landed in New York, my second home. It was the place where I found myself, and healed myself, the place where I developed myself and the place where I met the people, who are part of my universe. I came here when I was a kid with my parents, and then came here to pursue my education in law. I met Aarav, and a few others, who I wouldn't want to mention. It was also the place where I achieved the first dream that I ever wanted to achieve. 

I was wondering when the driver told me we had arrived at my house, practically the house where my cousin stays, but I stay here too when I'm here. I took my luggage and went to our house. I was welcomed with a tight hug from my cousin, Eloise, who was a President of a popular company. It was already evening when we had reached. She had asked me what I wanted to do, when I told her I wanted to at our regular place. She smirked at me and told me to get ready. I got ready in my maroon colored short dress and black boots. I did some light make up and went to Eloise's room. 

"Heya babes, I wanted to tell you something. I am proposing Aayushman.", she squealed after knowing about it and told me that this news means double the party. I laughed and pulled her out of her room and took her to our favorite club in New York. We asked for the private room, where we discussed about some important stuff and caught up as we were seeing each other after a long time, even though we literally text each other everyday. We had a couple of drinks and had decided to go to our usual place for having dinner as we both had work tomorrow morning. People don't recognize me as I'm a totally different person when I'm at home and the fun fact being that my parents know about it. 

Although, I'm kind of scared to show this side of me to Aayushman, because I want to be the perfect person, but I don't think I'm too far from showing it. We had a pizza from my favorite place. It was about 12, when we returned home and I was already half knocked up. I just went on the bed and slept. I was woken up by Eloise, who had come to wake me up as we had a meeting today.  I quickly got up and went for my routine while thanking Eloise for waking me up. I quickly got up and got ready for work. I was ready to surprise my soon to be fiance with a new side of me. 

Eloise Clementine, my Eldest cousin and the President of the Clementine Industries and the daughter of my mom's sister who married an American. She was one of the best sister I could ask for. She helped me from the time I shifted here for studying. While studying, we both together ended up setting up a business which is now popular around the world as Clementine Industries, and  I was the Chairwoman of this company, and I was hiding this from my new boss, who is also the guy I alike and the guy who my parents arranged me with. 

Eloise and I had decided to meet the company together, so that I could inspect the company as it had almost been 6 months since I had last been here. I had texted Aayushman that I wanted to talk to him about something really important. He had asked me to meet for breakfast at his place, but I told him to come over at the Clementine Industries with Abhi. I waited for him to arrive, who was practically looking worried and Abhi too with the same expression. 

I silently led them to the lift and we went to the top floor where the chairwoman's cabin was located. I turned to look at them and said silently,"I don't know if uncle told you or not, but." I let them enter the cabin, where there was a huge table, with a working chair and the nameplate said, "Kyra Malhotra' Chairwoman.".  They both looked at me with a angry and a confused expression. Aayu looked angry, but calm at the same time, while Abhi was the one who was confused. "Guys, please sit here for two minutes and let me explain okay? I am Kyra Malhotra, the Chairwoman of Clementine Industries. I found this company with my cousin Eloise Clementine, the daughter or my mom's sister who married an American, back when I was in college. We never expected this to be so bigshot, but here we are. I wanted to be a lawyer and work as a lawyer till I get done with my education loan because I wanted to earn money and get done with law school independently . So when I graduated, Eloise took over the company and I became the chairwoman. I work for here usually at night when required when we are at home. This is known by uncle as I had put it up in my resume, when this company was nothing. Aayu, I wanted tot ell this to you before, but I'm really sorry, I wasn't able to tell you. More likely, I didn't know how to tell you. Abhi I'm sorry to you too, I shouldn't have betrayed your trust." I looked down.

Aayu got up and said while coming in front of him, "I'm proud of you for chasing your dreams. I understand it must have been difficult for you to manage it, but I'm proud you didn't give up on your dreams. I agree I'm kind of sad that you didn't tell me but my father is not so evil to let misunderstandings get created between us." He laughed out loud and Abhi too started laughing. I gasped and hit his arms softly and said, "You both knew!? Huh!!! You know I was so scared what if you both get angry over me." Abhi said, "Of course we know our clients very well, Bhabi."

I laughed and hugged them both tightly while tearing up a little. Soon Eloise came and knocked on our door and called us for the meeting.
