Once everyone had settled from their river trip, the fire in the cabin was lit as they all talked and laughed amongst themselves.

--

Most fell asleep instantly, (really just the girls, which as far as Lisa was concerned included Bambam too)

She smiled as they snored away, Bambam moving further and further from Irene in his sleep- leading Lisa to believe that he'd soon be over her.

"You guys are a pretty cool bunch. When Irene first mentioned for me to come I was a little skeptical" Jackson joked, downing the rest of his beer.

Lisa snorted and shook her head

"It was most definitely Bambam and Jisoo who made this group weird."

the two laughed and sat in silence as the fire crackled.

"Look, despite Bambam being like my brother, and it hurts me to know he's hurting, I really do think you and Irene go well together. Just don't break her heart- can't have another Jisoo in the group" Lisa joked slightly at the end.

She'd seen the Jackson  was a nice guy, and that he genuinely cared for Irene and the rest of the group- so she was more than happy to let Jackson happily date her.

"thanks. I-it means a lot. I've never really fit into groups despite what people may see. But even with the occasional glare from Bambam, you guys made me feel part of the group- accepted. Thank you." he smiled, holding out his hand for Lisa to shake.

"honestly man? these guys are the best- they've accepted me for my past and my problems, I'm sure they'll always do the same with you" Lisa said, standing slightly as Jackson motioned to help the group to bed.

"I hope so. And Lisa? I'm sorry for whatever's happened to you. Irene didn't say much, but she said this time of year especially gets hard for you. So if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here."

Lisa nodded as she pushed back the daunting feeling that had randomly formed in her chest.

"thanks bro."

---

After struggling to move everyone to their beds, Lisa stepped out on the terrace, followed by an awake Jackson.

They stood in silence for a bit, the coolness of the night breeze making Lisa feel ever so relaxed.

2 more minutes went by before Lisa  took a deep inhale

"my parent's were killed in front of me when I was a child." She spoke out quietly, as if saying it any louder would bring forth the demon who committed the crime.

A few quiet moments passed before Jackson made a low whistle

"shit. gimme some warning first homie"

And Lisa laughed.

Actually laughed, fully bellied, hunched over laugh.

Jackson himself gave a few chuckles as Lisa's laugh died down.

"It's not funny, in fact it left me unable to speak for about 5 years. But I'm so used to the usual 'we're so sorry' and the pitying looks that I couldn't help but laugh." She said as she turned to him

"Yeah, well my dad died in a car accident, then my Mom died in those stupid hunting things the government sent to everyone to find those dead bodies. that's what my care worker told me anyways, so I can kinda- not really but I'll try to relate to you." He shrugged, finishing with a grin

Lisa laughed as the conversation quickly turned to sports and what football team they thought were trash

Once night had come completely Lisa let out a small yawn, to which Jackson snorted at

"Go to sleep child."

"oh shut your like 1 month older than me" Lisa joked as she walked towards her and Jisoo's connecting door

"exactly, so listen to your new older brother and go to bed."

Lisa shook her head as she laughed, but a familiar warmth built up inside her just as it had when she accepted Jisoo as her older sister.

"night brother" she said, emphasizing the brother as she skipped into her room, laughing to herself

she shut the door gently as not to wake Jisoo when she almost screamed in shock

"look I'm happy your happy. But shut up with all the 'hehe' and 'haha' and 'hahahehe', I'm trying to sleep" Jisoo grunted flailing her arms around as she tucked herself back into bed

Lisa bit back a laugh as she too headed into bed

"Night unnie"

"night lolisa"
