a/n TW AT END/START OF STORY

Usually Lisa's dreams only tormented her. They only involved her.

So when she tossed and panted during the night, a sinking feeling rising in her body as it went stiff. And a familiar face hung from a tree, splattered in crimson wetness that almost engulfed the tree behind it.

She couldn't help but wake up in terror

"Woah, Lisa you alright?"

Lisa's head spun towards the source of the noise.

It's just Jisoo she reminded herself

"Y-yeah, what's the time?" she asked, trying to brush off the ache the pit in her stomach had formed.

"About 9am. Bambam's still out for the count, Irene and Rosie are playing video games and Jackson's out getting fresh flowers for Irene, but don't tell her cause it's a surprise." Jisoo said with a small giggle.

The pit deepened

"How long's Jackson been gone?" she asked, getting up and slipping on she shoes

"About 1 and a half hours. Guess he really wanted some good ones."

Lisa nodded, trying to ignore the feeling, because feeling's meant little when everyone else was fine. She couldn't do this right now- have this sinking feeling ruin her trip. She already was still feeling off about seeing her again, and now this?

Lisa was sure she needed to vomit.

---

"Hey guys, have you seen Jackson anywhere?" Irene asked, standing up from the sofa where Lisa played smash bro's with a now awake Bambam

"nope, it's been at least 5 hours now- maybe he got lost?" Chaeyoung said cheerfully as Lisa threw Bambams character off the map

"I tried calling him but it keeps going to voice mail, should we head out to try and find him?" Irene suggested, clearly uncomfortable with him being out for so long

"yeah, lets get going now, we still wanted to go on a hike and I know he wanted to do that before he left." Bambam said, putting down his controller and stretching his legs.

They all nodded and stood up, grabbing the bag of walkies talkies and some water

As they all left the cabin, Lisa ran back inside to empty her stomach.

---

"All right, we're all good on the network?"Lisa heard Jisoo say through the sharp white noise filled communications device.

A series of cracked yes's chimed through before they muted themselves once more

"Remember, find him and punch him. That is all. Jisoo K out"

Lisa wanted to laugh. She really did.

But the faint smell of iron that followed her as she trekked deeper into the forest, the sight of the clear drag marks, as if something large- something human was dragged through the path made her lose all sense as she followed them carefully, her bat in hand.

Everything got increasingly worse as Lisa got further into the forest. The smell got stronger, sicklier. The drag marks got deeper, as if whatever or whoever was being dragged along had finally lost the strength to carry on.

"What have you done?!" a voice Lisa knew all too well cried out

Lisa quickly hid behind one of the larger bushes as she watched Ruby Jane shake her head vehemently

"I told you this would happen. I told you I'd kill another if you didn't do as I asked. And now, now another young one has died." The other voice, definitely male, spewed out

"Why, why him? You know he's friends with her! Your putting her in danger!"

Lisa almost fell out of the bush.

A long shadowed hand reached forward and grabbed hold of Ruby Jane's neck, tightening the grip as the demon rose from the ground

"You will not speak to me like that child! I am the one who brought you here, who gave you life when none other would even dare speak your name!"

Lisa almost felt bad.

 Almost.

Ruby Jane scratched at the hand around her throat as she progressively got paler

"You wish to die? You wish to die by my hand? Then I shall grant you this wish"

A small noise sounded from the other side of the tree, and Lisa hoped they wouldn't trace the source back to the original problem

The figure released Ruby Jane into a coughing mess on the ground as tears ran down her cheek

"We shall finish this later. Until we meet again Rubellion"

The shadow faded, and it was if the pit in Lisa's stomach had gotten lighter

"I'm so sorry, I'm so so sorry child. I- I wish I could-" the demon stopped her sentence as she broke down in tears, holding her head in her hands

"I will save you. I will. For there is no death worse then perpetual falling. Your soul will stay intact while I retrieve the supplies for the ritual." she spoke, slowly getting up and heading in the opposite direction.

"please, please do not tamper with the body Lalisa, or there will be no way to save him."

She vanished before Lisa could get her word in, but with the sight before her, Lisa would never get her word in.

The tree that the two stood in front of, engulfed in blood as a face hung from it. Blood was everywhere, on the ground, on the leaves.

But most importantly, Deep, wide, colorless eyes faced her as the mouth dripped crimson liquid from the core.

Lisa fought to hold back a scream, instead taking 3 steps back

More

More steps

Keep going

Until the steps became a desperate sprint through the leaves, tears rolling down her face as she ran aimlessly.

Jackson was dead.

a/n  GORE WARNING BELOW- if you wanna see how the face was in the tree, incase you can't picture it, there is a pic below. I didn't do Jackson's face himself simply cause it doesn't feel right lmao, but here's some random face i came up with lol
