Watching TV

The rain has started up again, only sprinkling, making a cozy atmosphere for the two, who are now lying on the couch converted into a bed, sharing a blanket and snacks as they watch a movie.

Tanaka can't help but glance at him every several seconds, hoping to stay like this for a long time.

He wanted to cuddle with Tobio but knew that that's something he could only ever dream of happening. Although, the only way to know is to try, so he scoots a little closer to him.

"You gonna spend the night here?"
"Yeah."
"What about afternoon practice?" Kageyama shakes his head. "You didn't go to morning practice either."
"Neither did you," he points out. "Yeah, but I skip practice all the time, you don't."
"And besides, I can't go in like this." Tanaka knows that he's referencing his black eye.

So, he turns onto his side too, staring at Tobio's back. "You know, I wish you'd believe me when I say that I'm here because I care, and not just out of pity," he says, somehow already knowing what he's thinking.

"I don't get it, you've never tried to hang out with me before, so why now?"
"What? Of course, I have. Every time I wanted to talk to you, you weren't around or just busy," he explains.

"Oh," is all Tobio's able to say, "Did you want my number then?" Tanaka tried his best to play it cool. "Yeah sure," he was able to say.

They swapped phones, and in a matter of moments, Tanaka was able to get a cute boy's number. Smiling, he put his phone away.

Despite it being around midday now, Tobio had fallen asleep, curling into Tanaka, clutching at his shirt.

"You know, I wish you'd just tell me what happened," he said quietly, wrapping an arm around him and pulling him close as he continues watching the tv.

Kageyama woke up two hours later, cuddling up against the older and drooling a little. "Sorry," he says, sitting up and quickly wiping his mouth. "It's okay, I don't mind."

Tobio looked down at him, probably trying to see if he's telling the truth or not. Not being able to tell, Kageyama lies back down in the position he had just woken up from.

Now that he's awake, Tanaka had to force himself to not play with the soft hair or draw circles on his back, not wanting to push it and scare him off.

"The rain has stopped. If you wanna go back home, you should do it now, you can borrow my umbrella if you want though." Tanaka shakes his head. "No that's okay, I'm just going to stay here with you."

"You want to stay in a small cabin in a forest with someone you barely know?" Tanaka laughs at how he worded it. "Yeah."
"You'd be hopeless in a horror movie."
"You like horror?"
"Yeah, I don't mind them."
"Did you want to watch one then?"
"Did you want to watch one?"
"Why are you asking me for? It's your tv?"
"Yes, but what the point of watching a movie if you're not enjoying it?"
"Yes, I don't mind horror movies. They are enjoyable."

"See? That's all you had to say now, isn't it?" Kageyama says, getting up and crouching down to open the doors of the cabinet. Grabbing a few dvds so he wouldn't have to crouch back down again.

"I also have a bunch of Studio Ghibli; we can watch those later if you want." He adds, pressing play.
