It's officially my first day as the personal maid of the Valide Sultan.

My uniform was beautiful. We were allowed to wear other outfits as well but this is the first outfit I was given for this role. I couldn't help myself to remove the jewelry last night so I'm wearing it again today. On my head a beautiful sky like shawl covering me. I was woken up early, to help the Sultan with her morning and I was carrying the water that would be used for her hands and feet. Once inside we all bowed to the Sultana and started doing our job. My job was to wash the left foot of the Sultana and massage it. " ooh, mashallah Haden hatun. You have magical hands. " she said as she closed her eyes and hummed out. " daye I want Haden to massage me "  daye hatun nodded and with that the girls moved away and I began taking care of the Sultan. Once done the Sultan caresses my head again and says. " may God give you his mercy and great happiness. Your hands do wonders. I understand why you're called angel hatun now. " she said kindly  and then turned to daye. " daye hatun, rise haden's salary and reward her for the hard work she puts out. " I thanked the Sultan and with that the morning continued.

Nothing special happened and everything was rather peaceful as usual. Maria was just on edge because of hurrem. I tried finding out what is going on with her but no one knows anything except that she's locked up in a small and dark cell. She's made many enemies and that's what is going to end her one day.

I went out of Valides chambers and started moving toward the kitchen to eat I wasent able to earlier since I was talking with Valide Sultan and telling her stories. Stories about me and my homeland. A loud yell was heard alerting us that the Sultan is coming  I hurried to get out of the way so he doesn't see me.

Okay maybe everything was not  rainbow and sunshines.

Not long after I found out that hurrem was let out. By the Sultan himself and she went to halvet again. Seems like we have a future Sultan at our way. I couldn't help that thought from coming to my mind.  The Valide and Sultans was very stressed and I tried my best to help them somehow, to ease their worries. But I couldn't help and notice that the other hatuns have began to stay away from me. I think that they're jealous that I'm Valides favorites. I understand them and I see how this can be unfair. All I could do is talk to them and try to communicate as best as I possibly can.

" you and hurrem are the same. Hurrem steals the sultan and you steal the sultanas. " esma hatun said angrily when I tried to talk to her. Esma was the previous favorite servant of the Valide Sultan. " okay you can think so, but please let's not be enemies. What's the problem? Are you lacking coins? I will help you, we are all sisters here. " I said looking at her softly, my hands on hers. Trying to connect with her and let her know I understand. " I understand why you're angry sister and I can see why you'd think this is unfair. But we all have to survive here and we all get opportunities  . I'm sure someone else will come after me, im sure you can also be back as well. " as I spoke esmas head fell down in what I assume is shame. " see! How can you compare an angel and a devil! Shame on you! " Clara yelled from behind standing up from her seat. The other girls joined her in her protest. I could see the panicked expression on esmas face, she started shaking and taking a step back. But I stopped her and hugged her. " it's okay, we are all in the same situation. We are all sisters, we make mistakes. " and with that esma fell down on her knees, still in my embrace - and started to cry. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I saw it was Maria, she kneeled down and tried to comfort esma.

Another issue resolved.

I'm sure it isn't resolved fully but it's still better.

" high ! Higher! I order you to go higher! " loud noise was heard from the hall, before the harems entrance. Me and the girls turned around, marias hand still on my back and esma in hands. It was the little shezade, the son of Mahidevran Sultan. Seems like he's torturing sümbul aga again. We all chuckled at that.

" oh , my shezade! I'm too old for this please have mercy. ALLAH!! " and then the whole harem fell into laughter.

" Haden hatun! " someone yelled my name and I turned around with a smile. It was sümbul agha with the little prince on his shoulders. " yes, sümbul aga? " I spoke up with a cheer in my voice. " come save me please. "
And the laughter continued. Me and the prince played catch around the garden sümbul watching close by.

Ibrahim POV :

" nigar kalfa. " I spoke, looking over the palaces balcony.

" who's that playing with our shezade? "

" Haden hatun, the one you selected to dance for the Sultan but had hurt her ankle. " nigar kalfa bowed and answered, her eyes locked to the ground.

I hummed, my hand going to my beard.

" tell me what is she like? "

" Mashallah she's the kindest in the whole harem. People call her angel, light and sun hatun. She's the favorite servant of Valide Sultan, hatice Sultan loves her as well. Even Mahidevran Sultan doesn't mind her. She's truly a gift from Almighty. " nigar spoke with what I could tell was a full heart.

Haden POV

" sümbul I beg you, don't make me do it. Have Maria go or Clara. " I pulled on sümbul sleeve desperation on my face and in my voice. " aissshhh! Wallahii! Everyone in this harem wants to at last glance at the Sultan they can't even dream about serving the Sultan his food! And you're beginning me to chose someone else! Hatun you're really weird sometimes. " a huge smile took over my face as my puppy eyes grew. " I'm not going right, right!? " sümbul just sighed and shook his head. I knew that he approved, and because of that I wrapped my hands around his body and hugged him.

Unknown to me... Someone saw me beginning Sümbul not to go.

Word spread like fire around the harem that I the angel hatun was avoiding the Sultan. And it didn't take long for the Valide Sultan to hear it too.
