Chapter 4

My phone goes off as I'm curling my hair, getting ready for Cameron and I's date.

I pick it up as I finish a curl. It's a text from Cam.

Cameron: Hey Alyssa . Be ready in 30 mins? :)

Alyssa: I'll be ready by then . See you at 7 ☺️

I hear a knock on the door as I rush to get it, with only one shoe on.

"Hey uh sorry" I laugh as I walk back to my other shoe.

He laughs too before saying "You look beautiful."

"Thanks , You don't look bad yourself". I smile.

We're both dressed up nicely, but not to dressed up. I mean, we are just going to an arcade.

"You ready?" Cameron says smiling holding his hand out.

I gladly accept as I step out the door.

We enter the arcade.

"This is where we met." Cameron smiles.

We go over to the basketball hoops game.

"And here is where I almost got hit in the face with a basketball thrown by a beautiful girl."

We both laugh.

"Let's play!"

We both keep making them.

"Be careful, I don't want you to injure anybody from your bad shots." Cameron teases me.

We play a couple times then play some other arcade games.

"Let's eat." Cameron goes up and asks for a pizza.

While he's doing that , I take the table that we sat at when we ate pizza here together the first time.

We're kinda trying to recreate the date, so we can "start over" this relationship. Teacher or not, if I fall in love with Cameron, there's nothing I can do, I can't stop my feelings.

"Good choice of table." Cam smiles.

We both sit down.

"Cam. I like you. But I'm worried about this. If we start talking more and more, I'm gonna get hooked to you."

"There's something about you that has me hooked already." Cameron says.

I just blush and smile. I don't know what to say.

"But , if we get caught." I pause. "We will be in HUGE trouble. And you'll lose your job."

"We won't get caught." Cameron assures me as he grabs my hand.

Cam is so comforting, but there will always be a chance of us getting caught.

"That was fun." Cameron says as he pulls up to my house.

"Yeah, it was. Thanks for taking me." I say smiling.

"So. Can we do this again some time? We can go somewhere else." Cameron laughs.

I just think for a second. I just can't stop thinking about what will happen if we get caught. Cameron will be in huge trouble, lose his job probably. My parents will kill me or just straight up be disappointed in me dating my teacher.

But the thing is, he's not just my teacher. He's someone I have feelings for, and I can't let that get taken away.

"Yes, let's do this again sometime." I finally answer .

Cameron smiles. We walk up the my front door.

"I want this." Is all Cameron says.

"I want you." He then says.

"I have a connection with you, and if we're meant to be, we won't get caught. We have to believe in the power of love. Would you take the chance for us?" Cameron says.

I stand there, a little stunned.

Cameron already has feelings for me. I can tell not only by him straight up telling me he does. But just how he acts and treats me.

"I would. and I will." I smile.

Cameron puts his hand on my cheek. Then slowly leans in.

I back away for a second. "Cam-" I grab his hand.

"I will take this chance for us, I want to be in a relationship with you too. But I still want to get to know you a lot better and like to take this relationship slow." I say.

He smiles. "I completely understand."

"Thank you." I pull him in for a hug as we stand there hugging for a while. As we pull away he kisses me on the cheek.

"Im looking forward to this. Us." He says as I step inside my house.

"I am too."
