Today was the day of my father's funeral did I wanna be here? No! Because even people from the families were crying not even knowing this man and the horrible things he'd done this funeral was later in the day so that was even worse I could be sleeping right now instead I'm here

There was still a part of me that felt guilty for not making amends but did he even deserve that? That man gave me hell for my whole life taunting me over and over again. But something didn't feel right we were burying a casket that had no body or person in it cause they all said he 'fell in the water that didn't sit right with me

I glanced around to see if anyone besides the obvious people was crying and no one was I locked eyes with Nora and she was holding in the laugh as the woman sat next to her hysterically fake crying she wasn't good at it you could tell

I had to turn around or I would've started laughing. Clearing my throat and turning back around Elijah placed a hand on the small of my back and planted a kiss on my temple "You ok?" the caution in his voice told me everything. He was scared for me but why? " yep" giving him a reassuring smile

The ceremony was finally over and I could go on my way and laugh my ass off. At least there was one thing to be excited about I was gonna be a god mom! Isn't that exciting I wonder if she'll like me. Only two more months! And then she'll be here

But enough about that tomorrow it's gonna be Christmas and surprisingly it wasn't snowing today only rain and the rain made it ten times worse to navigate in the grass without getting my heels stuck

After making my way out of that rain and into the  road where our car was waiting "Where too?" Carlos asked "Home" Carlos nodded

Pulling up to our beautifully decorated home Carlos opened the door "Happy holidays Mrs. Miller and same to you Mr.Miller" I smiled "Happy holidays to you too Carlos tell your kids I said hi and tell Veronica I said Hi too!" after saying goodnight to Carlos we had came in the house and got changed into something comfy

" I have a present for you," said Elijah as he ran upstairs I heard a few thuds and rumbles "You ok?" asking to make sure that thud seemed personal. Now was it Christmas...No but who cares it was only like 8:30 pm but I didn't care
It was still Christmas Eve as weird as it sounds I was happy besides my father being dead

He ran back downstairs to get his gift my gift was in the closet which I should've got instead of going on a whole thinking trail. " here you go my love" he chirped smiling and opening the box It was a silk robe with words embroidered on it 'Todos mis mejores dias los paso contigo mi more'

tearing up at the thought that he took time to learn This made it so much more special " I um I had got it custom but look under it" I looked at him confused as to what he could add to make this better but I slowly removed the robe from out of the box I saw one Tiffany & Co. Box and one chanel box I looked up at him

"No, I can't you got me all of this, compared to what I got you it's nothing!" frowned how could he get me so much and I've gotten him so little,
Opening the Tiffany's box first. It was the  sterling silver pendant open heart necklace with the matching Sterling Silver open heart ring "How did you know I wanted this?" he shrugged

"I might've asked Nora. I just wanted to make sure you were gonna like what I got you..open the next box" I grabbed the next box and opened it. "Oh.my.gosh, it's the Chanel diamond heart-shaped pendant!" He grinned seeing me happy made him a little too happy "Yep now let me see the amazing gift you got me" I sighed "Just so you know In advance it's not that good" he chuckled "Yeah yeah whatever you say"

His sassiness is one thing I ain't get warned about "here" I had got him a box of his favorite candies which was mints, a bag of cool ranch Doritos, and last but not least a Gucci Chain Interlocking G Bracelet with his name engraved on the inside, it seems like a lot but trust me it wasn't worth a lot compared to Elijah's

" and you said it wasn't as good! My love this is amazing thank you! YOU EVEN GOT ME COOL RANCH DORITOS! I love you" he mumbled into my hair as he hugged me...best Christmas ever
