Hi! Author here, and I think I should lay out a few of my headcanons here to make the story have more sense in it.
Firstly, I think that Ash/ Satoshi's name is actually Satoshi, and that he uses "Ash" when not in Kanto because of the hard pronunciation.
I also think that he can speak to pokemon, especially Pikachu. Like knowing a foreign language well enough to understand, but not completely.
Pikachu's name is also Twinkle in my mind, I was really inspired by a fanfic on A03 for that. I think it was called "Use Your Words", I'll check later. Also, Pikachu prefers just being called Pikachu, he is embarrassed by the name Twinkle.
Please give ideas, because I may run out eventually!
I might add to this later, but i'm trying to keep it short for now.
