When Kukui arrives home, he's greeted by a peculiar sight. Satochu, Twinkle and Rockruff are surrounding a phone. The Professor knows that Ash can read, Twinkle probably knows too, but Rockruff? Not a chance.
The Pokémon can definitely hear him, but they continue watching something on the phone.
Continued, because Rotom just flew in, beeping agressively.
"Beep! You must tell me all about that move!"
It scans Sato, expecting lots of information.
"Ping! Pikachu, the Electric Mouse Pokémon. An electric type. When several of these Pokémon gather, they can form lightning storms."
..Nope, that was not a lot of information.
"Rotom-Dex? Are you aware that Ash hasn't been caught yet, which means that there's not much information on him?"
"Beep, I forgot! Ash! You must catch yourself!"
Satochu is indifferent, but Twinkle seems to think otherwise. He hates Pokéballs, and has made that clear, and even though he will respect Ash's choice if he does want to use them often, he will let him take his time and will protect his friend from them if needed. Some could call him overprotective, but he would call it necessary because Sato will do something stupid with it if not under observation.
"Piiikaaa. Pikapi chu pika." / "Let Sato take his time."
"Beep. Fine."
Kukui-hakase walks over to the shelf and pulls out a Pokéball, putting it on the table.
Twinkle glares at it, and watches as his little friend walks up to it and sniffs it, cautious (for the first time in his life).
Then, he bats the ball at lightning speed, getting sucked in by a pool of red light. The ball clicks and locks.
Usually, any time Ash catches a 'mon, he makes a big fuss out of it and dances around. He caught himself, though, and now it's oddly silent.
Twinkle stares at the ball, and even though he detests them, he makes an exception to 'not touching them' just once to let Sato out of the ball.
He's indifferent, passing the ball over to Kukui, almost a signal to not put him in there again.
He doesn't mind it, but he'd rather be outside with Twinkle.
Rotom-Dex is happy with that, immediately going in to scan the Pikachu.
Ding!
"Pikachu, the Electric Mouse Pokémon. An Electric and Fighting type. When several of these Pokémon gather, they can form lightning storms. This Pikachu is male, with a Lightning Rod ability and a Naive nature. It knows the moves Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Aura Sphere, and an unknown move."
Soon after stating this information, Rotom-Dex displays a confused face on its monitor.
"A Fighting Type?" The Professor asks, squinting in thought. "How'd that manage to happen?"
Satochu then explains extremely quickly, so quick that Rotom-Dex was unable to pick up any useful information.
Professor Kukui's laptop was in his office, so he couldn't be bothered to get it, and he was pretty sure that the Pikachu (somehow with a dual typing) wouldn't really want to write on a piece of paper using his paws.
He was not expecting him to grab his phone, though (he forgot about it in the midst of all of the new info) and when he was finished with it after a few minutes, he'd written a few things on a document file.

Can 2 of my friends from Kalos come over? I'll pay for the flight
They aren't trouble
And they'll bring one of my Pokémon buddies
Kukui was expecting a vague answer, but using Aura didn't make sense. He'll research later.
"Yes, of course your friends can come. How are you going to pay though?"
The Pikachu clicks the phone a little and pulls up a banking app. Kukui is confused at first, but then becomes flabbergasted at the amount of money in the kid's account.
"How'd you get this much?"
There's a bit more clicking, then the Pikachu shows the history of the account. Barely any money has been taken out, and the most recent movement of money has been.. what?
"Reward for being a Kalos League Finalist?"
"Chuu!" Sato smiles at Kukui, like almost winning an international league isn't a big deal. (Also, wasn't that the time where the Crisis occurred?)
The professor shows Ash how to buy the tickets and they send them to the group chat that Bonnie and Clemont are in.

Kukui then watches as Twinkle pulls the video they were watching back up (how'd he learn? Sato is not a good teacher) and the two pikachu and Rockruff continue watching battles, something about the Galar champion, and new leagues.
New leagues! Kukui was thinking about making an Alolan league... Ash would know about them, having participated in so many. Maybe he could help, if Kukui found out how to decipher him!
