It has been brought to my attention about a site which mirrors wattpad, as in anything posted here is immediately reposted onto this other site - teenfic.net
The site is filled with malware and viruses, if you should go to search yourself or someone you know, please don't allow notifications to be sent to your device and run a scan to check for any type of virus.
From what I've gathered, wattpad is aware of teenfic.net and this has been sadly going on for at least 5 years.
Wattpad has been my main source of posting my fanfiction for quite sometime now. The only other site I intend to use is AO3, as a form of back up should anything ever happen here, plus to expand my works to other platforms over time.
I've been writing for a very long time, I've used many methods of posting works with very humble beginnings dating back to the age of forums and creating one's own website or blog to post. Having an app makes it all the more in being able to reach further to new and old readers alike.
But when issues like this arise, one must protect their work. Henceforth, all my books, including graphic books and the like, will have this note attached.
Should you see any of my books posted anywhere other than Wattpad or AO3-- it is without permission and has been stolen.
In my eyes this is a form of plagiarism, even though these stories are fanfiction, the plot and original idea are my own. Not for someone, or something else, to post up without my knowledge.
