Scott had always been teased for having diabetes in High School and it left him a little self conscience.

To this day, that teasing had stuck with him. Cartman's words echoed in his head.

No girl wants to see a guy stick a needle in his body dude that's gross!

On top of that, he had a persistent lisp and did his best to avoid certain words that would give it away.

Y/N was one of the few people that didn't know he had diabetes and he wanted to keep it that way.

She came into Willy's Chilly Ice Cream Parlor on Sundays during his shift with Butters and he thought she was super cute. She had actually asked him out before but he didn't want to risk her finding out.

"Can I have (your second fav flavor) please?" Y/N smiled.

She's trying something new today. She usually always gets the (your fav flavor).

"Good-" he was about to say choice "...pick."

Wow. Close call.

Y/N giggled, "I'll take it as a compliment, you're the expert!"

He laughed along with her trying to hide the growing blush beneath his freckles.

"Would you happen to be busy tomorrow night? There's an outdoor gallery opening in SoDoSoPa, would you want to go with me?" she asked.

It was hard to come up with excuses when she was so clearly putting in effort to see him after hours. He decided that tonight was the night he would put aside his fears and have some fun.

"I'd love to."

...

Scott checked his outfit in the mirror one last time, hyping himself up, and winked in the mirror. "Look out ladies," he said with a lisp. No one was around to hear it anyway.

Y/N's car was outside waiting to pick him up and he hurried out the front door. Halfway through the drive, he realized he left his emergency candy bar on the counter and debated on having her turn around so he could go back inside to grab it.

She's already agreed to drive, I don't want to be difficult. Besides, there'll probably be something to eat there anyway.

...

He looked so damn cute, even next to all the art.

Ever since you moved to South Park you had been a regular at Willy's. And it wasn't for their ice cream.

Scott had the effortlessly handsome look that you couldn't find back home. His freckles melted your heart and never failed to make you smile.

"I'm so glad you could make it!" You reaffirm, throwing your arms around him. He relaxes returning the embrace.

...

Scott was a delight to have around, he had really good taste and made good conversation with all the artists. He was getting more attractive by the minute.

"Let's go this way!" You hang on to his arm and he eagerly follows you to your favorite piece.

During your deep conversation about your favorites of the night, you notice he starts to look a little pale and light headed.

"Scott? Scott, are you okay?"

He shook his head 'no' and crashed onto the floor.

You recognized these symptoms. This looked a lot like hypoglycemia.
