But something unspoken tells me they're all obsolete

Something sweet became something shortened
Something shortened stopped existing
I don't feel it but I see everything
Everything that doesn't exist
Our existence ceasing
I've seen life in your eyes
And it diminishing too
I'm wishing I'm overthinking
That it's nothing me
It's just you
Is it a game that you're operating?
A cobweb that you're spinning around me
Or am I too haunted on vacant grounds?
Can you tell me the truth through your eyes?
Tell me all I'm thinking are lies
And if nothing's a lie
Tell me if it's time to depart
And depart absolutely not in bits
Roll away like a bauble from the fiery grounds
And if nothing's a lie
And it's not time to depart
Then tell me why not
Tell me why you're here yet not
Is it fire in your heart?
Tell me and engulf me in flames
Don't burn me slowly
