They had Michael. This didn't matter to him. Michael wouldn't give him away, he was too loyal for that.
They caught Michael because, clearly - the girl and her boyfriend didn't get the message. He wished they did, he really did - maybe then he would've spared them some pain.
But since they didn't... Well, that just made things all the more fun.
They had no idea what was coming their way, it was all in a matter of time. Let them think they won, let them believe it, let them celebrate.
Yes, he'd let them have that so he could inevitably break their little perfect world apart again.
They didn't think things would be so easy? Did they?
