A/N: This is Biana's POV of what she relays to Sophie in the "Everglen" chapter of my main story. Dexiana shippers, enjoy!

Biana looked at herself in the mirror. Apart from refreshing her lip gloss, she was ready. She was in the habit of always looking her best because you never knew who was going to show up--especially at Everglen.

Dex had been working with Kesler at Slurps and Burps all morning, but had the afternoon free. She was excited when he hailed her and asked if she wanted some company that afternoon.

He came over a lot--often when the triplets were driving him crazy--and they were able to keep each other company when the rest of their group was busy with other things, or working on projects they weren't needed for.

And lately, when Sophie and Keefe were tucked away at Havenfield and Fitz was trying to pretend he was okay with it, Dex proved a nice distraction.

Dex was a distraction she'd gladly take any day.

She couldn't deny that her feelings for him were growing and changing.

He'd changed a lot since they'd met. They both had.

He'd had a huge crush on Sophie, but he'd gotten over it. She'd had a silly crush on Keefe for years, and she'd gotten over it.

That was kind of funny to think about now. Sophie and Keefe were together--really, seriously, planning-on-forever together.

Biana and Dex had both been unwanted by the pair of them. Loved, cared for, but not romantically.

And now, Biana liked Dex. She really hoped he felt the same way, but she wasn't sure. He was always really sweet and thoughtful, but...that was just Dex. It didn't necessarily mean anything.

But she hoped it did.

Because she could absolutely see forever with Dex Dizznee.

He was the kind of boy you didn't just date. He was the kind of boy you fell in love with. He was kind, and loyal, and brave, and an incredibly hard worker who never demanded attention or praise for his work.

Which meant sometimes he didn't get the praise or attention he deserved. Especially considering how many times their lives had been saved by some of his gadgets.

And how he'd been tortured trying to protect Sophie.

The more she thought about it, the clearer it was: Dex was everything.

She heard the chimes announcing his arrival. As she headed down the stairs, she heard Fitz let him in.

It made her really happy to see them standing by the door, chatting easily. Dex had hated Fitz the most of all of them. But you wouldn't guess it now.

"It's still weird that no one has to let me in at the gate anymore," Dex was saying.

"I know," Fitz agreed. "That gate enclosed our property my entire life. But taking it down has seemed to help show people they can still trust my family. Even though I also can't help but wonder if a protective gate would have been nice to keep up until the Neverseen was fully finished."

"Eh, they've already proved they could get in even with the gate," Biana reminded him as she joined them. "Alvar saw to that."

Fitz scowled at the mention of his brother. She knew he hated any mention of Alvar. And she understood why--Alvar was her big brother too and it was still hard to accept who he really was.

And even harder on Fitz, because Alvar was his only older sibling. The one he should've been able to look up to. Biana, at least, still had Fitz, who was still a very good big brother.
