A/N: A one-shot featuring Will Sencen (Keefe and Sophie's son from my main story).

Will wasn't sure he could wait until after graduation.

They were a few weeks away from finals, and graduating from the Elite levels was looming closer and closer.

But not close enough.

Will was planning to enter the Nobility, probably as a Regent at first. Hopefully later as an Emissary.

But all he could really think about was Anna.

They'd been dating for more than three years—closer to four at this point. Ever since they started level five.

And he'd known he was in love with her pretty much right away.

He actually figured he'd been falling in love with her slowly even before that. Having grown up together and been childhood friends, he'd had plenty of time to fall for her.

But the way she'd supported him when he manifested as an Imperator--right at the start of their relationship?

The way she'd stood by him, defended him when people at Foxfire started whispering about the Sencens, and stories started resurfacing about Lady Gisela and the Neverseen and Elysian...

Well. The first time she grabbed his hand and yelled at a fellow fifth year for asking Will too many questions...he hadn't been able to help himself.

He'd brought his free hand up to her face and kissed her, right there by the Leapmasters, in front of everyone.

And they hadn't broken apart until one of the Mentors came by and stopped them.

He was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to kiss his girlfriend at school and had received a reprimand from Magnate Leto.

He had a feeling he'd have gotten detention if Leto hadn't been so fond of his parents.

Anna didn't get in trouble, because as Leto said, he applauded her desire to defend and protect a fellow Prodigy.

But then...Leto liked her parents a lot too.

And his dad just got a kick out of it.

"I mean...was it a good kiss, at least?" he'd asked with a smirk.

And for a second, Will thought Leto was going to smack his dad on the back of the head. Instead, he just shook his head and muttered 'you kids' before walking away.

So all things considered...Will was more than ready to propose to Anna.

He'd watched Amy walk around with an engagement ring on her finger ever since Alvin proposed. Constantly looking at her hand, admiring her ring, making sappy lovey eyes at Al.

Will wanted that.

He wanted to put a ring on Anna's finger.

So one day, during Empathy training with his dad, Will brought it up.

His dad's eyes had widened for a second, but then a grin spread across his face. "Well...by the time I was your age, I had already married your mom, so I can't exactly complain. And I'm sure Fitz and Linh will be happy about it too. Just...tell your mom before you do anything else."

Mom, of course, cried a little bit.

And hugged him.

And he could feel how happy she was at the prospect.

So he hailed Al--already the big brother he'd never had--and they went ring shopping.

Will wasn't exactly sure how or when or where. He just knew he wanted it to be perfect.
