𝐅𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐋𝐘 𝐘𝐄𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀'𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒, Amaryllis tried her best to wake up the young human after she'd been slapped, the young alien despite not liking her didn't want the annoying human to die.

However letting her sleep would probably keep her alive longer, if Amaryllis herself managed to escape she wouldn't be coming back for the human so to not have a guilty conscious she'd give her a chance.

"Elena," She started to repeatedly call out the teen's name as she used one hand to shake her, whilst the other held together the top of her dress. "Elena wake up."

As she continued to shake the girl, Elena slowly began to wake up from her stupor with a confused expression on her face before she started to whimper.

"Owwwww." She whined as she began to rub the side of her face that had been slapped by Rose, if not for that vampire blood in her system there would be quite the bruise on her face.

"You good," Amaryllis asked not caring, more curious as to how much that hurt as it had sounded horrific. "she slapped the fuck outta you."

Rolling her eyes at Amaryllis in what she saw as horrid language, Elena's hand slowly came away from her face to rest back at her side.

"I'm fine, it didn't hurt much," Elena lied blatantly at the moment that slap felt akin to being slapped with a metal tray, but she didn't want to seem weak by admitting that. "how long was I out?"

Only after realizing that Rose was nowhere around them, did Elena remember that more than likely a small amount of time had passed.

"Shhh," Amaryllis hushed her as the human started to get entirely too loud, with them being vampires it was no doubt they could hear them whenever they wanted. "not long, maybe a few minutes."

"Where'd she go?" Elena asked in a whisper this time after having been shushed by Amaryllis, but she was still determined to find out more about what was going on.

"She left after she knocked you out," Amaryllis answered simply as she moved to sit back on her side of the couch, the expression on her face neutral once again. "said they only took me because I was with you."

At Amaryllis's words, Elena tried her best not to smirk too blatantly but it was still seen on her face, she felt as if she was somehow more important than Amaryllis.

Someone had staged an entire kidnapping just to obtain her, something that Elena knew never happened to Amaryllis ever, so much for her believing she was better than her.

"Did she say why she wanted me?" Elena asked as she crossed her arms over her chest, the woman blatantly proud that she had been the target over Amaryllis.

It was like the victim complex and narcissism was forever a part of the Petrova line, there had never been a Petrova Doppelgänger that didn't have a mix of the two.

"No, bu-" Amaryllis spoke calmly getting ready to speak about whoever 'he' was, but she was only interrupted by Elena's mouth.

"I should have known," Elena spoke with a roll of her eyes, not willing to listen to anything else Amaryllis had to say, she believed the smaller teen wasn't a part of their world. "you've always been useless, you should have asked her."

At Elena's words, Amaryllis only rolled her eyes, she had already grown used to Elena's habit of pushing blame onto others.

"After what she did to you," Amaryllis spoke as she looked the girl up with a roll of her eyes, not moving from her position leaning back against the armrest of the couch. "I would rather stay awake around homicidal vampires, thank you."

Hearing Amaryllis's explanation, Elena only rolled her eyes again before she suddenly realized what Amaryllis had said causing her entire face to drop.

"How'd you know they were vampires?" Elena asked as she looked Amaryllis up and down suspiciously, there was no reason she should know about anything that was happening.

Yet somehow Amaryllis knew what they were, and seeing the suspicion on Elena's face Amaryllis' calm exterior didn't falter as she began to lie.

"There was a man," She spoke motioning towards the door with her head, since Elena hadn't been awake at the time she had no reason to believe she was partially lysing. "he tried to bite me, and I saw his face, so I just guessed."

However despite her lie being so plausible Elena still looked down at the young Lexington in complete suspicion of her story.

"Lucky guess." Elena spoke out in complete suspicion, but there was no reason for her to be suspicious other than the fact that she didn't like Amaryllis.

"I guess so," Amaryllis spoke in the same manner as she continued to calmly lay on the couch, she wasn't worried about the useless little human.

If worse comes to worse, she'd just kill the human to maintain her secret, because there was no doubt in her body that Elena couldn't keep a secret for her life.

However before either of them could speak on anything else, they heard the voice of the woman from before speaking from upstairs.

"How's the girl we meant to kidnap?" The voice of Rose drifted into the room from upstairs, grabbing both of the young women's attention.

Both of them glanced at each other before they looked up towards the room leading out of this one.

"Still passed out," The man's voice, Trevor followed the woman's as he spoke to his sister in the other room before he noticed the annoyed look on Rose's face. "and how was I supposed to know he would take two?"

"It's not the time to discuss that," Rose quickly waved off that entire situation, even though it was honestly pissing her off. "she isn't anything but a human anyway, you didn't touch her did you?"

Rose didn't like how little control she had when it came to the smaller human's blood, but for this deal to work neither of those humans needed to be hurt.

"Give me some credit," Trevor scoffed at his sister's words as he rose both of his hands in surrender, he had a little self-control. "you said back off and I did, but you have to admit she smells so enchanting."

At her brother's words, Rose stayed silent as she agreed with him, there was something different about her as a human, but Rose just couldn't tell what.

"Did you call him?" Trevor asked after the two fell into a few seconds of silence, fear, anxiety, and nervousness clearly shown on his face.

"No, I called one of his contacts," Rose spoke simply of what she did before she noticed the nervousness on her brother's face. "you know how this works."

"Did you or did you not get the messages to Elijah?" Trevor asked the question simply and blatantly, it was him that was truly endanger in this situation.
