Attempted to climb higher into Klaus's inner circle of vampires, to where he thought Elijah was simply an older third party that was also here to capture the doppelganger and with the way the man had previously stared, possibly devour the petite plump snack standing near the corner.

The sudden need to rush along getting rid of too many witnesses especially those tied to his brother, for him to get closer to his treasure, his jewel, diamond; god, he hadn't obsessed over someone like this since Celeste.
However hearing the name slip from Elijah's lips, Cody had a visible reaction, his eyes widening as he glanced over at the vampire he had brought along with him, both of them growing a bit more on guard for a moment.
