𝐅𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋'𝐒 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒, Amaryllis couldn't truly fathom the worlds that Elijah was speaking, because from his eyes it seemed he truly did believe that.
Believe that she belonged to him or at least was willing to imply it even directly to her, the thought of which once again brought about confusion.
The two did not know each other, write their lives on sheets of paper and they wouldn't be able to choose the other out of a stack.
So how could this being, centuries older than her, believe that she somehow belonged to him, and why?
"You're not making sense." She spoke calmly shaking her head, thoughts of reassuring pulsing through her head that the original was simply out of his mind in a way.
Despite how poshly and elegant he acted, somewhere in that vast mind of his something got misconstrued, and over the years it simply grew, increased, and intensified. Making the vampire unable to comprehend the situation, unable to see through the veil he'd hung in front of himself, a veil that shielded him from everything(but her).
That was the only common denominator at this point, however, unbeknownst to Amaryllis, if she'd spoken this assumption aloud Elijah would've agreed.
Overly so, because he too knew of the insanity that slipped passed his lips every moment he was with her, he knew his actions continued to grow more determined and coarse.
But as he knew of the things he was doing, he slowly began to feel less and less put off about them, no longer willing to dwell so deep into his mind for an answer when his answer was already here.
In the form of a woman so delicate, curious, and confident, that he felt he'd lay down life after life if she ever called upon him.
"I've lived on this dying planet for over a millennium," He calmly spoke in the same manner as she did, however nodding his head as he questioned. "where does it say that I have to?"
With that he lightly raised his right hand, using the few seconds where Amaryllis was distracted, attempting to find words to reason with him and express her frustration, to pull her hair behind her ear.
His eyes followed the movement of the free-flowing flowing vibrant orange-ginger hair as it fell back behind Amaryllis's shoulder.
The young Lexington was once again at a loss for words as she quickly realized how close the two had gotten, not pressed against each other as they had when he'd brought her to Baltimore.
Nonetheless, they were still close, two or three inches apart as she felt his fingertips lightly graze her head and ear as he tucked her hair.
Before he lightly dragged them across her cheek in a delicate intimate move that caused the young woman to look away, not used to such simple advances.
Yet despite it being all of a sudden, it wasn't unwelcome by the young adult woman as she had grown partly used to being in his space and he in hers.
As she fell back on his words of not wanting to harm her, that being said she did know he was immortal in a sense, yet Damon did put him down.
At the time a stake to the heart seemed to do it, but she knew it wouldn't keep him that way forever which was why she was so hesitant to attack and flee.
Because she knew that with the type of immortality the man had he would somehow find his way back to her even after she'd have, hypothetically, stabbed him.
But then would he be in a worse mood after being staked twice, that was the question she didn't want to find the answer to.
"All I wish is for you to accompany me for the day," Elijah continued not knowing of the inner turmoil that was brewing in Amaryllis's head, however, if the soft furrow of her eyebrows meant anything then he was starting to pick up on it. "I'll send you back home, first things tomorrow morning."
Hearing the sincerity in Elijah's voice, the thought of leaving on her own free will never crossed her mind.
"But my dad-" Amaryllis tried to come up with another form of an excuse, quickly remembering that she was the only one left in her father's life.
However, hearing and seeing her concern, Elijah felt none, he had already planned on stealing her away at some point; so keeping a few skilled and trusted people around to watch after the highest paternal member of the Lexington family was a simple order.
"I have plenty eyes of mine watching after him," The man spoke with a simple wave of his hand, although he quickly continued as he saw how wide the younger woman's eyes had gotten. "with no direct contact, of course."
Once again teetering on the edge of a decision, this one having no true upsides as Amaryllis didn't honestly know what would happen if she rejected his request. She truly doubted he would let her go home so easily, especially since that was the goal after their supposed day together.
However weighing the options in her head, staying with the original vampire for a day wasn't so discomforting, other than the obsessive words he often tended to use when referring to her, this would be one of the very few times Amaryllis had left Mystic Falls.
Having just about always remained routed in the town to take care of her father, even with more than enough money at the palm of her hands she still found herself stuck in place.
"Just today?" She asked softly as she looked up into the outrageously handsome man's face, for what felt like the billionth time taking in both his expression and features.
From his pale yet bright skin that showed no signs of being inhuman, to the long dark chocolate brown hair that flowed from his head and slightly cropped the sides of his ears in a partially outdated style; yet the length made up for the appearance.
Then there were his eyes no doubt an enticing match to his hair, however, they somewhat glowing as they gazed down on her, pools of deep flowing mocha coffee yet mixed with a deafening shade of red wine.
"Tis all I ask," Elijah continued his smile becoming a soft grin as he grew relaxed once again, Amaryllis not being the only one taking in the other's features and appearance. "that and for you to pick a gown."
