𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐓 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐅 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆, Elijah on one hand didn't even want to entertain Elena's words, seeing it as a last strive to escape.
However seeing it as a moment to remain as close as possible with the woman in his arms, Elijah decided to do just that for the moment.
"What do you know about the moonstone?" Elijah asked looking down his nose at the human doppelgänger, the teen fearful after seeing him kill someone.
"I-I know that you need it," Elena stuttered lightly trying to feign confidence, the girl trying not to sink in on herself in fear. " And I know where it is."
"Yes?" Elijah spoke with a small smirk, speaking to her as if she was a small child and he was an adult entertaining her child-like fantasies.
Amaryllis on the other hand still standing against the man's chest, she hated to admit it but she was growing to not mind the way he was softly running his hand through her hair.
However she did at first attempt to push him away, but without using her tamaranean strength it was virtually impossible to even get him to budge.
It was like pushing a stone wall, so after that failed attempt she just about gave up getting out of The Original's arms, instead just grasping the bottom of his suit jacket.
Begrudgingly playing with the fabric beneath her fingers, figuring to just let him pet her until he grew tired so she could make it home to her dad.
"I can help you get it." Elena offered to aid him in whatever she believed he needed, on one hand stalling for time and on the other making a possible exit for herself.
"Tell me where it is." Elijah demanded not in the mood to continue with the little human's games, as he finally stepped away from Amaryllis.
Although now taking her hand, he was no longer as close as he glared down at Elena and waited for her to give up the information.
"It doesn't work that way." Elena quickly tried to flip the situation the way she needed it to go, she needed the power to negotiate right now.
"Are you negotiating with me?" Elijah asked showing both amusement and shock as he looked at the human, no living creature had tried to negotiate with him in years.
At his own words, Elijah couldn't help but turn back towards Rose, asking an unspoken question as he looked directly at the hysterically crying.
"It's the first I've heard of it." Rose answered reluctantly through tears, the woman just barely able to hold herself together as she continued to mourn the death of her brother.
"I grow sick of your games, human." Elijah spoke as he fully let go of Amaryllis, vamping over to suddenly be within reaching distance of Elena.
His sudden movement shocked the young teen into a gasp, leaving Amaryllis standing alone away from everyone, once again able to partake in her own personal space.
Although she had little to no time to do anything other than gasp Elijah looked directly at Elena, attempting to compel her as he looked deeply into her eyes.
However, he was quick to realize it wasn't working, his eyes quick to lock onto the vervain-soaked necklace delicately lying around the girl's neck.
"What's this vervain doing around your neck?" He asked as he tightly grabbed a hold of the necklace, before yanking it off of her neck.
Elena let out another gasp as he did so, before he roughly grabbed her by the back of her head, forcing her closer to him as he went to compel her again.
Amaryllis watched on in partial wonder, she'd never been close enough to a vampire's secrets that they would have to try their weird mind-controlled eye thingy on her.
To be honest she wondered if it worked.
"Tell me where the moonstone is." Elijah compelled the teen struggling against his grip as he once again looked her in the eye, this time Elena wasn't able to withstand the compulsion.
"In the tomb, underneath the church ruins." Elena answered honestly and monotonously as she fell under Elijah's compulsion, the girl able to do nothing but tell the truth.
"What is it doing there?" Elijah continued to compel the girl, his eyes glancing between both of her brown ones that mimicked the ones belonging to the woman he once loved.
He wondered if they were the same, as Tatia and Katherine were, so how similar could Katherine and Elena be?
"It's with Katherine." Elena once again answered under the guidance of the compulsion, finally getting the answer he needed Elijah partially pulled back.
"Interesting," Elijah murmured as he looked over the young teen's face, before scoffing as he let her go with a small push and turned his attention over to Amaryllis. "and what part do you play in their little crew, Sæta?"
Realizing his attention was back on her, Amaryllis just so happened to have frozen with her hands covering her mouth after having gasped at the whole situation.
"I-I don't-" She tried to answer as she lowered her hands in embarrassment before she noticed that Elijah was starting to walk over towards her.
"No clueless human would react the way you are," Elijah spoke as if he was the wisest man in the room, whilst he walked towards the girl like a predator to his prey. "I've told countless humans about the secrets of the supernatural world, not one react as calmly as you."
"Call me unique?" Amaryllis squeaked as she began backing away from Elijah, the girl throwing in a sarcastic-nervous chuckle as she tried to maintain a distance between the two of them
However, it only put a darker smirk on Elijah's face as he stalked down the girl, feeling like a large predatory big cat looking down at a little frightened mouse.
"Definitely that," Elijah nodded his head honestly, chuckling as he backed the girl towards a dresser pressed up against the wall. "but no reaction to vampires, truly is...,"
As she bumped into the dresser, Amaryllis let out a small squeak feeling small and human despite only pretending to be as The Original continued to get closer to her.
At any moment he could have flashed in front of her, but he chose rather to slowly walk towards her whilst looking her directly in the eye.
Even as their bodies were nearly pressed up against each other.
"What are you truly, Amaryllis?" He asked suspiciously as he stared down at her, looking deep into her eyes but not compelling her, only just looking.
They waited and watched to see if she was going to lie to him, only for the sound of glass breaking from the other room to catch all of their attention.
