"So you just have to read this and fill this all out then sign here for it to be done then you'll have officially adopted her" Maria said with a smile as they both sat at one of the meeting rooms while Wanda was playing on Nat's phone.

"Just like that?"

"Just like that"

Nat chuckled, "I never thought the heartless and ruthless black widow would ever be a mother and now I'm about to sign adoption papers"

Maria frowned at her words, she was one of the only people to see the redhead from when she first joined shield to now. "Don't say that Nat, you're the best mom to her and besides she attached to you since the beginning and hasn't let go"

She remembered a conversation when Nat got drunk one time and opened up to her how she wished to be a mother but she'll have to live with the fact she never will. It was heartwarming to see the present and she wishes to go back in the past and tell drunk Nat that her wish came true.

The woman gave her a chuckle with a shake of her head, "thank you, I know it was hard to get these especially after the first time didn't get approved"

Nat was a mess when news came back that her application to adopt Wanda had failed, she went out and got herself wasted, drunkenly called Maria in tears about it. Luckily the woman managed to get where she was and got her back home safe.

"No problem but now no more sad stuff, you're finally getting this so sign"

She smiled widely looking at Wanda who was in her own bubble, "darling come here I want to show you something"

"Okay"

"Do you know what this is baby?" She asked pointing at the papers on the desk. Wanda shook her head a bit confused why her mom was showing her this. "Well these are the papers to adopt you"

Wanda's jaw dropped looking at the woman in shock, "really mama?"

"Yep, see this is my name there and then that's yours, you can even change it if you want but obviously you don't have to"

She explained it all for Wanda making sure the girl knows everything written on the paper just in case there was any questions or concerns that Wanda had.

"Mama's real name?" Wanda asked pointing to her government name. She gave her a nod, "yes baby that's my real name"

"Say it?"

"You want me to say my real name?"

"Pleaseee" Wanda said giving her the best puppy eyes she can. "Okay okay" Nat laughed, "Natalia Alianovna Romanova"

Wanda beamed, it was so beautiful and the way it just rolled off the tongue was so perfect. "Pretty I want it please"

"You want my name?" Nat's voice shaking slightly as Wanda nodded with her own big smile. "Well then come up and let's do it" She said giving Wanda a tickle on her stomach.

"Okay so how do you want it sweet girl?"

"Wanda Romanova"

She pressed a kiss to her cheek, writing down Wanda's new name then moved her hand down and signed it. They were officially mother and daughter.

"Congratulations you two, now go celebrate!" Maria said with a clap.

Wanda jumped into her mom's arms as Nat spun them around, covering her daughter's face with kisses. "So happy mama!" Wanda giving the redhead her own kisses to her face.

"So am I sweet girl, you have no idea"
