CONSEQUENCE OF TEMPTATION

Chapter Thirty-One

"H-Hindi yan totoo." Nanginginig na boses na sagot ko dito, "I remember it clearly! Si Zephyr ang kasama ko!"

"We were both drunk that night. We talked about random things and eventually ended up pleasuring each other." Aniya ngunit umiling ako, "I looked for you after that Isabela. I left the hotel to buy us breakfast pero nang bumalik ako sa hotel ng umaga na 'yun ay wala ka na."

"Hindi yan totoo."

"That papers are telling you the truth Bela. Hindi kita pipilitin na paniwalaan ako. Pero basahin mo yan. Basahin mo ang DNA test namin ni Zach at ang DNA test nila ni Zephyr."

"If I didn't talked to that blue eyed man, I would be blinded by this for the rest of my life. Just how pathetic is that right? Ako ang ama ni Zach pero hindi ko alam?"

"Y-You're lying!"

"Magnus knows everything. He knows that Zephyr didn't get you pregnant that's why he used you and my son for his little game. Gusto niyang iwan mo ang anak mo kay Zephyr at pagdating ng panahon ay ipapaalam niya dito na hindi siya ang tunay na ama ni Zach. Zephyr would think that you fooled him and it will ruin his life but his plans didn't work that's why he used me for his plan B."

Napatingin ako dito habang sunod-sunod na tumutulo ang mga luha ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano bang dapat kong sabihin dahil malinaw na sa'kin ang nangyari ng gabing 'yun. I was really drunk that night but I know, I'm sure that I'm with Zephyr.

Pero ngayon ay parang biglang bumalik sa'kin ang gabing 'yun at ang inakala kong si Zephyr na kasama ko ay mali pala. That was all because of the love I have for him made that temptation to give myself to him. Pero mali pala. Maling-mali ako.

"Isabela, hindi ko kayo guguluhin ni Zephyr." Saad ni Laurent kaya tinignan ko siya, "I just want my right for my son. I want my surname in Zacharias' name. I want him to call me dad. 'yun lang ang gusto ko."

"I can't." Pumikit ako, "Mahal ko si Zephyr. Mahal ko siya at ayaw kong mawala siya sa'kin. I'm sorry if I didn't remember everything from the start. I'm sorry if you think I stole your right for Zach. Pero Laurent, hindi ikaw ang ama niya. Si Zephyr lang ang ama ng anak ko—"

"Isabela!" He shouted, "What the hell? Anong klaseng sagot yan?! And here I am trying to settle this peacefully! Makisama ka naman!"

"Sana maintindihan mo ko Laurent! Ngayon lang kami nagkaayos ni Zephyr! For six years we've been separated! Ayoko nang mawala siya sa'kin! Ayoko nang masaktan muli! Tapos bigla kang dadating para sabihin sa'kin ang bagay na yan?! If you ruined your marriage, then don't ruin us too!"
