Part One Chapter Seven

Chapter 7: Nighttime meetings

That night, GingerBrave brought Kirby and his friends to a little inn at the kingdom for them to stay at.

It was a pretty small place, with its most notable attributes being that it was run by some Sugar Gnomes, and that a few cookies worked part time here.

"Here we go!" GingerBrave said once the group reached the second floor of the inn. "We've got two spare rooms here you guys can stay in! Room eleven and room twelve. Each room has two beds, but I believe they also have one of those beds you can make from a sofa."

Magolor looked at the two rooms. "They won't charge us for staying here, will they?"

"Oh no! This inn is free for everyone! The only thing that would cost anyone anything would be the meals, but even then those aren't too expensive!" GingerBrave reassured him. "And when we find the rest of your friends, they can stay here too."

"The Sugar Gnomes might have to build another inn if they're aren't enough rooms for them though." Strawberry Cookie mentioned, once she reached the group.

"I call room eleven!" said Magolor.

Bandana Dee tilted his head. "Why room eleven?"

"No reason, I just like that number. Though twelve is also a cool number."

Adeleine looked at Kirby. "Me and Bandana can share a room if you want to stay with Magolor."

"Whatever makes Elfilin happy." Kirby claimed, still holding Elfilin, who was still wrapped up in Bandana Waddle Dee's spare bandana. No matter what room Kirby stayed in, Elfilin was going to be by his side.

"I'm good either way." Elfilin sniffed "If you want to stay with Magolor I can do that."

"Okie dokie. We'll stay in a room with Magolor then."

Magolor silently went "Yes!" while pumping his fist.

Adeleine smiled. "Me and Bandana will take room twelve then."

"Alrighty! Here's the room keys the innkeeper gave me." GingerBrave handed Magolor and Adeleine the keys for their rooms "We've got our own Cookie Houses to stay at."

GingerBrave let out a yawn. "We'd better get going, it's getting pretty late."

"Before we go though, Herb Cookie wanted you to have this." Strawberry Cookie brought out a smaller bag of herbs and handed it to Magolor.

Magolor, who was carrying all the other herbs Herb Cookie gave them in a shopping bag Wizard Cookie found for him, narrowed his eyes. "More herbs?!?"

"These are different." Strawberry Cookie explained "These are the kind you can mix in some tea and Elfilin can drink it. Or if he doesn't like tea, you can mix it in a broth instead."

"I like tea!" Elfilin shook his tail.

Kirby smiled "Thank you all so much!"

"No problem!" GingerBrave nodded, Strawberry Cookie looking happy as well "We'll see you guys tomorrow! Have a goodnight!"

"Goodnight!" Kirby and his friends waved goodbye as GingerBrave and Strawberry Cookie walked down the stairs.

Once the two were gone, Adeleine turned to Kirby. "Here, do you want me to hold onto the golf bag, or would you like it to be with you tonight?"

Kirby had Elfilin sit on his head, Elfilin keeping the bandana cloth wrapped around him as he took a seat. "Can I have it? I should probably show it to Magolor and Elfilin."
