You're having a what today?
Kirby giggled in response to Spelltwister Cookie's confusion. When he woke up this morning, he decided to chat with Spelltwister Cookie in the little mindscape they were able to talk to each other in before he went out and got ready for what was planned today, as he hadn't really talked to her yesterday and wanted to make up for it.
"A Gourmet Race!" Kirby repeated "It's a very special type of race where on top of reaching the finish line first, you collect as much food as you can! Whoever reaches the finish line and collects the most food wins!"
Spelltwister Cookie seemed intrigued as Kirby continued explaining.
"GingerBrave is having some Sugar Gnomes help set up the course and everything, and I'm gonna have a fun little race with him and Dedede! I'm so excited!"
(*Chuckle*) Yes, I can see that.
"Wonder how well GingerBrave will do, he seems pretty fast." Kirby assumed "But I'm a fast puffball of course, so I'll be ready!"
Heh, I bet you will. Do you have any Copy Abilities that can increase your speed?
"I do!" Kirby confirmed "But I don't think I'll be needing one! Normally I'd probably use one if it was just Dedede, but since GingerBrave is also participating, I wanna be fair and equal. So I won't use a copy ability."
Ah, so you won't be needing my assistance today then? Just like yesterday?
"Correct, no need for copy abilities today."
Very well, guess I'll just be here, unneeded, all alone in here...
Kirby was initially worried by Spelltwister Cookie's response, but listening to the tone of her voice made him realize she was just joking, and his worries eased.
Joking aside, it's all good. You have fun out there and I'll be right here if you need me.
"Well after I'm all done with the race today, maybe I can spend some time doing research on magic stuff in this world so I can find a way to free you!"
Mm, I would definitely like that, but are you sure you want to use up your free time on that? As much as I am eager to get out of here, I wouldn't want you to waste time looking into books about magic.
"Right... plus I'm not very good at reading..." Kirby admitted.
And there's that too I guess.
"Ooh but maybe I can ask my new Cookie friends for help!" Kirby thought up "Wizard Cookie seems to know a lot about magic, maybe he could know some spells and facts about magic artifacts that could help you out!"
There was a sudden silence in the air for a moment, and Spelltwister Cookie's silhouette stared down at Kirby.
I'd rather not Kirby, I still don't know if we can trust the Cookies from this kingdom.
"Poyo? You sure? GingerBrave and the others seem so nice!"
I know they seem nice, but do you know everything about them?
Kirby thought about this, GingerBrave had shared some information and personal facts to him, but he hadn't really gotten to know Strawberry Cookie or Wizard Cookie that much, or most of the other Cookies of the kingdom for that matter. "I guess not."
In addition to that, if you tell more than one Cookie, and they don't keep their word that they'll keep me and my staff a secret, word could spread. And that could lead to someone dangerous finding my staff, would you want that?
