Part Two Chapter Twenty-Nine

Chapter 29: Tropical Soda Incident

"Ahhh.~" Francisca sighed with delight as she finished taking another drink from her coconut cup. Once she was done, she lowered her drink back down and leaned back further into her beach chair.

Out of all the places she expected to wake up in, she was pleasantly surprised she was fortunate enough to have been sent to a tropical paradise with tons of adorable little tropical food creatures. It was jarring at first, and of course she was worried about her sisters and master, Lord Hyness, but panicking would not help out in the slightest. She chose to remain calm and handle the situation with a cool levelhead, and this was the perfect place to do so.

It was also the perfect place to help her get used to her new Cookie body. Her clothes didn't change at all, but her skin definitely did, becoming a crispy texture now that she had been transformed into a Cookie, and her dough being very pale and cream colored. Her disembodied floating hands and lack of legs carried over into this Cookie body, which was an uncanny and frightening sight at first to some of the Dessert denizens and Cookies of this island, but they quickly got used to it. Most notable change to her appearance was her hair, having its usual blue coloration but now feeling much colder than it had been before, whilst also being very soft and somewhat melty and soda scented. A sign that her hair had been turned into some kind of soda flavored ice cream or icing. Not that she minded, she already felt that her hair was super delicate and heat vulnerable, it now being ice cream just made it sweeter.

Francisca took another relaxing breath before closing her eyes and sitting in silence on the beach chair, a beach umbrella that had been placed right beside her providing some excellent shade.

"Would the lovely Ms. Francisca care for some more pineapple juice?"

Francisca opened her eyes and looked down at the little creature standing next to her chair, the creature being a small and cute coconut creature called a Coconutian. This little Coconutian was holding a small tray of drinks and had a cute little bow tie below their mouth.

"That would be wonderful, thank you." Francisca told the Coconutian waiter, giving them her coconut cup and showing them a closed eye smile.

The Coconutian nodded after receiving the cup from Francisca, and went off to get her a second helping of the pineapple juice she had been enjoying.

After she watched the Coconutian waiter walk away, Francisca laid her head back and put her hands behind it as she looked out and admired her surroundings.

To her left was a series of beach huts she had stayed at the night before, which the inhabitants of the island were generous enough to let her rest at free of charge, due to her little situation. To say thanks, Francisca used her magic to make them huge blocks of ice, which the inhabitants that managed the island's facilities and resources greatly appreciated as their ice machines were having problems, and now thanks to her they had more ice. After getting her bearings and having a good night sleep, she was now taking some time to enjoy this tropical environment before setting out to try and find her sisters and friends, she knew it was better to stay collected and relaxed and not rush these things, as long as she retained a healthy mindset and attitude, everything would be fine.

Right of Francisca was a somewhat standard beach environment, with Cookies and Desserts playing beach games together, making sand castles, and sunbathing on some comfy beach blankets. The most notable little attraction at this beach however, was a little concession stand where a cute little Coconutian was serving special sodas to the customers. The sodas themselves were served in star shaped cups that had star shaped ice cubes within them.

Francisca couldn't get in line to try these sodas out herself due to a lack of currency, but she was fine with the free pineapple juice the Coconutians were providing her as thanks for the ice. Still, she couldn't help but feel slightly envious as she watched the line grow, a noticeable customer with a red ponytail at the end of it acting rather dubious.
