Growing up & breaking down

Don't tell me I'm pretty now

You never did when I needed you to

If you only tell me when I feel like it

How can I believe it's true

Tell me what to do

I don't really know

I don't know if I still love you

And I'm afraid that it will show

Friendship turned into love

And that love turned into fear

'Cause when I need you the most

I know you won't be here

I wake up

From slamming doors

And in the dark

I slip on watered floors

How did we go from growing up

To breaking down

What matters in your voice now

Are the words and not the sound

Now my smile is fading

Behind all the water on my face

Because I know I'm someone

You can easily replace

With this expression on my face

Even a waterfall could do

'Cause after all this time I finally see

That I don't know how to be enough for you.
