Poem Collection

Sun

I'm the sun

I light up the whole sky

In my light

The birds fly

Moon can not shine without me

But I need a break

I haven't slept in a while

For years now, I've been awake

I light up the whole world

But I need a rest

Only when I can recharge

I can shine my best

The little helpers are gone

The stars have left

For a million years now

In them I was dressed

They protected me 

Like a child would protect their friend

And for some reason, I never would've thought

That it would end

When I hide now

There'll be nothing that shines

I didn't know all the stars would leave

They never gave any signs

Maybe I did something wrong

Maybe it's my fault

I'll never know

Cause the stars never told.
