Umbrella

It's raining

I'm holding an umbrella over my head

But I wish the hand holding it

Was yours instead

I don't have a jacket with me

But if I did, I'd wish it belonged to you

About how it would smell

I'd hope it wasn't too new

It stopped raining

How long has the sun been shining yet?

It was also shining

When we first met

Back then

I didn't really notice that you were there

But now

I'd recognize you everywhere

Even if we were in a crowded room

And I could barely see your face

Cloud 9 isn't enough anymore

I'm already up in space

When I first met your mom

I could tell that you are her son

Take my hand and to a place only we know

We'll run

We'll come back

Of course

Is suit, white dress and a carriage

Pulled by a white horse.
