Moon

I've always been the moon

I've never been the sun

I can shine

Only if I'm lit up by someone

Nobody will see me

When I'm alone

When I'm lit up 

I'm not made out of stone

People would watch me all night

Cause I'm not there during the day

And even some times at night

I will be away

Because I know

She can't always shine on me

She can't always light me up

She needs time for herself too

And I won't interrupt

No one hates me

I can't burn their skin

But she only does that

Cause people don't let her in

I'm the moon

And you are the sun

When you're with me

I have the most fun

I hate it when you're not here

Cause then I can't shine

I know it's wrong

But I'm sad you'll nver be fully mine.
