Small world

9 1 2

It's such a small world

I'm an even smaller girl, living in it

And it's crazy to think about

But I was even smaller once

I used to fit in one bed with both my parents

My dad could carry me around

The whole day

It's such a big world

With so many places

That I have never seen

I'm such a small girl

With so many emotions

If you'd turn them all into freedom

You could probably end war

It's such a small world

With so many playgrounds

That I have been on

So many stories

That I've heard

It's such a big world

Filled with amazing people

That I have never met

And will never meet

Filled with so many problems

That I'll never be able to solve

It's such a small world

Filled with joy

Filled with amazing people

That I all know

Like Mom and Dad

And our neighbours

I have such a pretty face

Filled with tears, fears and disappointment

I have such a pretty face

Filled with joy, happiness and excitement

It's the exact same as the girl's

Who is smiling at me

But her's is filled with hurt

And I wonder if mine will ever be too.

This makes me cry every time I read it. I couldn't even really see the letters anymore when I wrote it. Please tell me I'm not the only one who cries while reading this.
