FEBRUARY 13TH, MONDAY.

it's been 19 minutes . stan has been waiting for kyle since the school doors opened

stan waited outside of the school, obviously waiting for kyle.

he was on his phone. again.

listening to music. again.

but, there wasn't anything else to do.

plus it took up his time, kyle was taking forever.

stan looked at the schools doors and pursed his lips.

what if kyle lied?

he started to frown.

stan thought of how kyles probably hanging out with tolkien.

and not him. not stan.

it's not unlikely for kyle to do that, he did it before,,

more minutes passed by and a few more students left the school, starting to walk home.

stan hoped that kyle would just magically appear in that small group and say something along the lines of; "hey dude! sorry I took long, let's go."

though that never happened.

he decided kyle wasn't coming and he grabbed his backpack and he was about to walk away.

till somebody stopped him.

...

his doubts immediately went away  and he turned around.

"hey stan."

"..."

   "wendy?"

wendy testaburger, stans ex-girlfriend.

what does she want?

"uhm-"

"before you say anything, i just wanted to talk to you." wendy said, smiling.

stan blinked, loss for words.

what does she want?

"..stan?"

"oh! uh, sure?" stan said, his answer sounded more like a question.

wendy nodded. "I wanted to talk about how you've been feeling recently."

okay.. now he was more confused.

"uh.. what?"
stan questioned.

"y'know, I talked to kenny since you've look like you just got broken up with," she said.

"and he said you've been in a bad mood, since last week."

what?

stan furrowed his eyebrows.

"kennys lying.. I've been perfectly fine."

wendy raised an eyebrow.

she took a deep breath "okay.. you don't have to pretend stan."

"huh?"

"I've seen you act all upset and gloomy. you haven't even been making it to your classes nor lunch."

"..."

"what happened?" she questioned.

"nothing! I promise." he stated.

"I guess.. I was in my feelings?" he looked down.

wendy squinted her eyes at him, she knew he was lying, she always knew.

"stan-"

"stan!"

there's that familiar voice.

...

kyle..

kyle!

he perked his head up, excitedly.

"hey kyle!"

kyle walked out, gripping onto his his backpack while stuffing his phone into his pocket.

he waved at stan.

wendy looked at kyle and waved, obviously, kyle returned the favor.

"hey dude! and hi wendy." the redhead said once he made it to the two ravenettes.

"where've you been? I've literally been sitting out here waiting for like .. hours now!"

kyle scratched the back of his neck. "I got busy with something.."

tolkien.

"ah, well, I'll go then, bye guys. nice seeing you stan! and you too kyle." wendy walked away, not wanting to interrupt their conversation.

..

"you were doing something? what was it?" stan questioned.

"talking to tolkien, he asked me a few questions.."

stans mood dropped.  "oh."

stan shook his head, not wanting to ruin this possible once in a life time day.

"so..?"

kyles smile got bigger. "we can go hang out now! let's go."

kyle grabbed onto stans arm and started to walk off.

and for some reason. stan felt butterflies.
