❝Silence❞

Javier was the type of man that barely showed any type of affection to women, beside physical touch.

He told himself that maybe it was better that way. That no one would get hurt and they won't regret it. He didn't picture himself as a man who deserve the love from the other person. He was a handsome asshole, who worked for DEA trying to catch the most wanted man in this country.

He was everything but a lover.

As he flashed back to that night, he found himself thinking about Elodie. How beautiful and alluring she looked in that short, yellow dress with the sparkle in her eye that he could see even from a distance. Oh, if only she'd surrendered to him, letting him run his hands over her shapely body, touch her beautiful neck, or kiss those sweet pink lips...

The only thing stopping him from fucking her,

  ...was her boyfriend.

The luckiest man in the world.

A man who could put his hands on her at any moment, tasting her and touching the way Javier wanted from the beginning.

Was that what jealousy looked like?

Thinking of that person even though she's off limits? Founding in yourself that burning desire which led you to this fucked up state where you can't think of anyone else while having sex?

It wasn't healthy or normal and Javier was aware of it. But that didn't stop him from touching himself on the thought of her.

He will definitely go to hell for this, but at least he found some release from the tension that haven't left him for past weeks.

Even know while strolling through the busy corridors of DEA headqurter he could feel the tension on his shoulders, slowly creeping into his bones. He hated that feeling. It was overhelming, heavy and it took all of his energy.

He pulled out his Malboro's but before he lit one, he pushed open the glass door and stepped out to catch some fresh air first.

It wasn't long before his gaze fixed on the left side, where a familiar figure stood. His heart skipped a beat as he saw Elodie...

With a cigarette in her hand.

At first he couldn't believe his eyes. He had never seen her smoke before, and the sight of it shocked him. He knew she had been under a lot of stress lately, but he never thought that she would turn to cigarettes to cope.

Javier knew he had to say something. He didn't want her to get hooked on smoking, but he didn't know how to approach the subject without sounding like he was lecturing her.

As he hesitated, Elodie noticed him and looked over. Their eyes met, and Javier could see her battle with fatigue, her dark circles under her eyes despite the makeup.

"You know what's bad for your health?" he began, lightly pointing his finger at her.

"Smoking?" she asked just to be clear they were on the same page.

"Stress." he replied, pulling out a cigarette for himself. "Fumar también."

  Elodie scoffed.

"You're gonna give me a lecture? I'm not ten years old, Peña. I know what smoking leads to."

"So why do it anyway? You should know by now that this shit is addicting." he said, looking at her from the side. She still looked so beautifull as the day he saw her first.

"Like many other things..." she mumbled quietly. Javier gave her a frown. "Ugh, I hate you."

  Okay, now he was suprised.

  But actually no. He wasn't.

  He was expecting this.

"And..." she paused, her voice weak as she tried to control her emotions. "I-I guess you were right. Maybe I am stupid after all."

But he definately didn't expect that.

For a minute he forgot of a cigarrette between his fingers  and stared at her with his mouth slightly opened. For the first time, he didn't know what to say. He felt confused and...guilty? He didn't mean those words. It wasn't true. She was everything but stupid to him.

Before Javier had time to answer, to say something, apologize, she walked away clicking her heels.

Leaving him there on the parking lot, at the lost of words for the first time ever.

   "Javi?"

  He didn't move.

"Javi, vuelve a la cama, que tengo frío."

He sent her a short look before turning away.

She was much younger than him, in her twenties or so.
Her black hair fall down her bare shoulders, covering her bare breasts. She was sitting on the old bed that creaked under every bend of the mattress.

She was looking at him though her long lashes, her eyes in the dark shade of green which were nothing compared to Hamilton's blue eyes.

Finally he approached the bed and reached his hand to touch her thigh. She bit her lip in anticipation, slowly giving into the pleasure.

"You're not her." he mumbled in english, knowing that she wouldn't understand a thing. After all, she was born here and did not know how to speak in his language.

To her, he was just another customer, another man paying her to spread her legs for him. It was nothing but sex. No emotions, no heat, no tension between them. They were just strangers that weren't supposed to meet again after this night will end. She was nobody and he was just some gringo from Texas that knew a thing or two.

"Creo que es hora de que me vaya, hermosa." he whispered, his hand going up her thigh, dangerously close to her throbbing spot.

  "P-pero Javi...te necesito."

He sent her a sad smile.

"Adios, cariño.he got up and left, not looking behind.
