Okay, this is kind of a small update compared to the past couple ones. . .but I want Chapter Seven to be brilliant, so I'm going to make it nice and lonnnnnng and you'll love me for it. This is just kind of a filler chapter, some Harry and Devon and Louis and Mara action. :D

-Harry's Point of View.-
"AW CUTENESS OVERLOAD!" A high pitched voice squealed. Devon jumped out of my arms and nearly fell out of the bed, but I caught her.
"Jeez! Mara God!" Devon shouted.
'Oh I'm sorry! You two are just so cute!" She started jumping up and down clapping her hands together.
"Mara. Go." I groaned, throwing a pillow over my head.
"Oh, god! You two are naked under there aren't you--" She stared
'Mara!" Devon yelled, "Fully clothed! See!" Devon jumped out of bed to prove to Mara she had clothes on, but her ankle gave out and she crumbled to the floor. Before she had a chance to hit the ground, I had already gotten out of bed and caught her. I realized my mistake immediately, because while Devon knew to a certain extent that I wasn't normal, Mara did not.
"You okay, love?" I asked Devon, as I picked her up and laid her back on the bed.
"How did. . . how did you . . ." Mara stuttered.
"Not the time, Mar." Devon hissed, trying to keep from crying out, her ankle looked a million times worse.
"I can make it better." I whispered in Devon's ear. I could make it completely better, but Mara would see, and I didn't know how she would handle it.
"P--Please." She stammered and I felt like I broke my ankle.
"Alright. Mara, come here." I looked up at her, and she looked very afraid.
"Come on then," I spoke out, getting agitated. I didn't like Devon being in pain. She stumbled over to me.
"Okay Mara. You've seen some weird shit. But I need for you to stay calm, Devon needs you to not freak out, okay?" I spoke calmly to her, and she nodded.
"Baby this is going to hurt a little it." I whispered to Devon, and she nodded.
"Mara, brace it." I looked up at her.
"Harry are you stupid?" Mara shouted at me.
"Brace it now Mara." I repeated. She looked at me like I was a sociopath, but then she nodded.
"I'm so sorry babe." Mara whispered, and then she grabbed Devon's foot and twisted it back to its original position.
Devon's sobs and cries filled the room, and it hurt me as much as it hurt her.
"Now wrap it up with something." I snarled, hearing Devon being in pain wasn't helping me.
"There . . . Harry there isn't--" Mara stuttered.
"Just fucking find something Mara please!" I cried.
"Okay . .keep her ankle braced while I find something." Mara muttered.
"I'm sorry love," I looked into Devon's eyes and they were now grey, with pain.
"It's alright," she smiled weakly at me.
I walked over to where Mara was sanding, holding onto Devon's ankle. My warm hands replaced her cold ones around Devon's ankle. I heard Devon whimper as I held her ankle into place. I felt horrible, because if I would have come home yesterday when it happened I could have already gotten I fixed.
"Next time," I breathed, "you hurt yourself, you tell me. Doesn't matter were I am or what I'm doing you tell me,"
She whipped a tear from her face as she nodded. Mara came running back in with some wrap thing. She clambered over to us and took my place holding her ankle in place. Devon whimpered again, everyone holding her ankle in place must have hurt really bad, and I started feeling worse. I couldn't handle her feeling any worse.
"I'm going to make all of your pain go away, okay baby?" I whispered in her ear, and she nodded.
"Mara can you trust me?" I asked her. She looked up at me and nodded.
"Alright." I said, as she finished wrapping Devon's ankle up.
"Mara, you're about to see some more crazy shit." I warned her, and she nodded again.
I grabbed Devon's ankle one last time, and felt the heat radiate up through my palms. Relief flooded through me as I watched the pain leave Devon's eyes. She sighed in relief as I healed her, her ankle warming up where I held it. My hands began to tingle as I healed her and I felt my energy draining from me; I hadn't healed anyone in so long, it was really taking from me
"Harry it--It doesn't hurt anymore." Devon suddenly gasped, and I let go of her ankle, and smiled at her.
"That's how it works." I smiled at her.
"How did--How did you do that?" Mara asked, though she didn't seem scared, she just seemed amazed.
"I'll explain it sometime." I smiled at her, Just then, I heard someone knocking at the door.
"I'll get it!" Mara chirped and headed out of the room. I looked at Devon, who was sitting up and I expected to be bombarded with questions that I didn't want to answer and not answering would lead to a fight between us, but she didn't ask me anything, she just smiled at me.
"Thank you, for . . whatever you just did." She kissed me.
"You're welcome. I just couldn't stand to see you dealing with all that pain." I muttered, looking down. She put her finger under my chin and lifted my face up to hers.
"I'm okay now, Harry. See?" She got up and started walking around, she even did a few jumping jacks for my benefit, and my eyes couldn't help but wonder down her body.
"I see," I grinned provactively.
"Where you staring at my butt Harry?" She asked, smiling at me.
"Maybe." I smiled widely at her.
"Dork." she slapped me behind my head. I was just about to pull her back towards me and kiss her until she couldn't breathe, but Mara called for us.
"Harry! You're gorgeous friend called Louis is hear to speak to you! Oh and Devon? Some guy named Michael left a voicemail on the house phone, he wants you to call with him."
Devon looked at me with pure horror on her face, though for no reason. I didn't know how I was going to convince her that I wasn't going to let him lay a finger on her ever in her lifetime.
Or the next one.
I grabbed her hand and pulled her along with me, but she stumbled.
"Love?" I turned around and looked at her to see her hobbling on her ankle again.
"It just--It started hurting again." She mumbled, trying to balance on her ankle.
"I know, that's why I kept it wrapped. It isn't broken anymore, but its sprained." I squatted down to her knees. "hop on." I said. She didn't ask any questions, she just hopped on my back. I walked out of the room and took the steps, two at a time anxious to see what kind of car Louis had gotten for Devon to drive.
But I also wanted to hear this so called message Michael had left.
I pushed all Michael-related thoughts out of my mind, knowing that If I thought too much about him, my eyes would turn black again.
I walked into the living room, to see Louis sitting on the couch, feet propped up on my coffee table with a can of Dr. Pepper in one hand and a bag of Doritos in the other.
"Well, I'm glad you made yourself at home." I chuckled to Louis as I sat Devon carefully down on the couch. He looked up from his phone and his eyes automatically landed on Devon. He stared at her for a couple seconds, and I could tell she was getting uncomfortable because she started playing with her hands.
"Damn," Louis whistled. "She never changes."
Devon's head snapped up to look at Louis, and I gave him a glare.
"Excuse me?" She squeaked, looking confused.
"Uh, nothing." I interrupted Louis before he could answer. He shot me a confused look but I just shrugged.
"So, Louis, this is Devon, Devon this is my best mate Louis." I gestured to Louis as I introduced them.
"Call me Boobear." Louis looked at her and cracked a smile and she busted with giggles, and I could tell they would be really good friends.
"Devon, what happened to your ankle?" Louis asked her, and she blushed.
-Devon's point of view.-
Harry sat me down gently on the couch, and as he did his friend stared at me. He had chocolate brown windswept hair, with gorgeous blue eyes, nearly as blue as mine. He was still staring at me and I was starting to feel uncomfortable under his gaze.
"Damn," Louis let out a low whistle. "She never changes."
My head snapped up to his statement, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Harry quietly send a death glare Louis' way, and he shrugged.
"Excuse me?" I heard myself ask. Louis opened his mouth and began to answer but Harry interrupted him.
"Uh, nothing. So, Louis, this is Devon, Devon this is my best mate Louis" Harry gestured to me to Louis and back again as he introduced us.
"Call me Boobear." Louis cracked a beautiful smile and I couldn't help but burst with laughter, this kid was cute, I'd give him that. I saw Harry smile beside me as Louis and I laughed.
"Devon, what happened to your ankle?" Louis asked me and I felt my face automatically begin to heat up.
"Oh nothing to horrible. It just seems that I can't function properly without Harry. I jumped off the counter yesterday and landed on it wrong." Louis giggled. Just then, Mara walked in from the kitchen and Louis' head snapped up to look at her; he gazed at her longingly, as if she were a tall glass of water that he had been waiting on for forever.
It was how Harry looked at me.
Mara turned and looked at Louis and she looked at him with such wonder, admiration. I nudged Harry, he met my eyes with a weird expression on his face.
So he noticed the silent exchange to.
Mara finally looked away from Louis.
"Oh, Dev? Michael is on the phone, I'm suppose to come get you." She looked at me. At her words I felt Harry stiffen beside me.
"Alright." I didn't want to give Mara any idea that anything was up, I went to pull myself off the couch but Harry grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him, practically onto his lap.
"No." He growled, and I looked into his eyes and saw what I expected.
Black had taken over.
"Harry it's just a phone call." I tried to reassure him, but he wasn't having any of it.
"I said no. You're not talking to him Devon." His eyes were coal black, I had never seen something so dark.
"Harry, it's okay--"
"NO DEVON! I fucking said no! You aren't talking to him or going near him or anything and if you try to I swear to fucking god I will lock you in my room, because I'm not letting him near you." The furry in his voice made me flinch, and I slide off his lap.
Without giving him a glance, I got off the couch and walked upstairs. It wasn't as easy as it had been coming down, but then again I wasn't on anyone's back the second time.
I was angry with Harry for yelling at me like that. I realized that he was just scared and that he was trying to protect me, but he had no right to yell at me the way he did. I heard Louis and Mara calling my name, but I didn't hear Harry, but I would have ignored him anyway.
For some reason, I found myself in his room instead of my own. I slammed his door and put my back to it, slowly sliding down the door.
There was a lump in my throat, one that I wasn't accustomed to feeling. I had cried more in the short time I had known Harry than I had ever cried in my life, and I hated it. One more thing to add to my checklist of venerability.
I don't know how long I sat there, staring at the wall. It could have been for hours but I paid no attention to the passing of time. I wanted to go back downstairs, hold Harry's hand, talk to him, make him smile, I didn't want to be mad at him.
But I couldn't just let him think that it was okay to yell at me like that.
I was playing with the sleeve when someone knocked on the door.
"Devon?" I heard Harry whisper, and I imagined him to have his forehead pressed to the door, silently pleading with me to answer him.
"Devon, please." his voice broke, and so did my heart.
"Devon, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you like that, please don't lock me out, please talk to me." His voice sounded uneven, as if he were trying his hardest to keep his feelings suppressed. I couldn't take it anymore.
I stood up and opened the door, and the sight in front of me broke my heart.
There Harry stood, with blood shot eyes and dry tear marks treaded his skin. His curls were unruly, some in his eyes as he looked up at me. His cheeks looked a little red, as if he had been sobbing. Harry took two steps towards me but I didn't budge. He took another step towards me.
"I can't--please don't--" His voice broke again, and I grabbed him and crushed him towards me, as he quietly sobbed into my neck.
"I'm so sorry Devon, I'm so sorry." He cried into my neck.
"It's alright baby, it's okay." I soothed him, running my fingers through his curls.
He pulled away from me, his eyes now redder from the recent crying. He looked like a lost little boy, with the tears on his wet cheeks. He looked so venerable, and I had a feeling no one had ever seen him in such a state as this.
"I just--I need for you to be safe Devon. I need you to be," he pleaded with me, trying to get me to understand.
"I go insane just thinking you might be in danger, so you can imagine how I feel when you're just walking right into it." His thumb brushed my lip.
I looked up at him so I could look him in the eyes properly. He was so much taller than I was.
"Harry I am safe." I whispered.
"You aren't safe until he's dead," Harry said coldly. "And I will kill him."
The words he uttered truly terrified me, because I knew he would do what he said.
