"Harry, you don't have to drive me to school. Really, its okay." I told him as I slung my book bag across my shoulder.

"Of course I don't, " He grinned. "But I want to, so come on then."

"Did Mara get home okay last night?" I asked Harry as he held the car door open for me.

"Yes Love, I drove her home myself." He answered me.

I stopped in the middle of putting my seatbelt on. How did he take her home if she drove here in the first place?

"I drove her home in her car, then I walked home." He answered my question before I could ask it.

"Oh." Was all I said.

"I would tell you if I could, Devon." Harry whispered so quietly I almost didn't hear him.

"I don't understand why you can't just tell me." I looked straight at him.

"It's complicated." He scrunched his eyebrows together, a sign of frustration I had learned.

"I'm sure it is, Harry."

"Devon, I swear--" Harry got interrupted by the chirping of his phone. He sent me a regretful glance.

"Just answer it." I sighed staring out the window.

I vaguely heard him whisper hello rather angrily, but I didn't pay attention to what he was saying, I was too far gone, trying to figure out what he was, but I just couldn't make a proper connection to any of it. I noticed we had reached the school parking-lot, and it was rather crowded, with nearly no place to park. Harry didn't bother parking, he just drove up to Mara's car and stopped.

I opened the door and go out. The sound of a window rolling down caught my attention. I turned around to see Harry's head of curls poking out the window.

"I love you, be safe, I'll be here at three." He smiled at me, and I smiled back. I nearly chuckled out loud at remembering what had happened the last time he said that. Things were so different now; this time I would wait for him, I wouldn't run away, as I did last time.

"I love you too." I ran back over to him and kissed him on the cheek. He went to kiss my lips but I pulled away teasingly and smiled at him.

"Don't I get more?" He asked, frowning slightly.

"Nope." I turned to walk away, but stopped. "Well, maybe." His chuckle filled my ears as he drove away.

I noticed Mara and Tyler just watching me. Mara with a smile, and Tyler frowning. I walked over to them, unable to keep the smile off my face. I knew there was a new bounce in my step, one I hadn't had before.

It was totally cliché, but he made me happy.

"What's your problem?" I asked Tyler as I reached them, and he looked at me.

"I don't like him." He said, staring off into the direction Harry had gone.

"So? You don't have to date him." I stated.

"And he's a really nice kid. He made me let him drive me home last night because he wanted to make sure I got in safely. Give him a chance Ty, he really is a good guy. Perfect for our beautiful Devon." Mara slung her arm around my shoulder, and at her comment I felt myself blush.
