Twenty One

The lake house

One of the few places that hold good memories only. I always forget about my problems when I go there the same way I am willing to do today.

Forget my problems and just be

I went straight to my room after Adam left and started packing some clothes in my backpack, and I know you may be wondering why. It's because I always swim in the lake. No matter how cold it was ; it's a tradition of mine. I hurried downstairs to find them all waiting for me  by the door, including my sister and Maggie. My sister was in something so colorful that it hurt my eyes, but it was cute on her. I didn't know who she was today because usually she dresses like Disney princesses

" What princess are you today?" I asked her and she just shrugged

" I'm princess Leanee today" she said and turned around, showing off her vibrant skirt and sweater.

" Explains the pink you're wearing." I murmured under my breath. I had a Micheal Jordan phase, where I used to dress like him all the time and go to school and then it was Ryan sheckler's  turn where I also skated to school everyday for two years in middle school and wore caps like him because I had a huge crush on the dude and thought that I had a chance by doing so

People are really different huh

" I remember when Mrs White took us to the park one time and she tried to dress you in a yellow dress" Lola said and i sighed. It was story time and also the time to embarrass me

" I remember that one time as well.. I also remember Riley running around the house refusing to wear that dress" Mylo continued, "I don't want to wear this dress mommy.. It's embarrassing. My Park friends will laugh at me" Mylo mocked me

" You can't hang upside down in the monkey bars in a dress mommy.." Lola tried to sound like me by softening her voice. I didn't know what was worse, them doing this or me thinking I was a boy at that time.

" Can we get going??" I said, so fed up with their games. I saw Audine laughing from the side of my eye which was such a relief to me. I really loved it when he smiled and laughed and was happy in general. I headed to my car while Mylo and Lola got in Mylo's car with the kids. My old BMW was blocked by Audine's so he asked me if i wanted to drive his but I refused because I was still in the alcohol effect and I didn't want to crush his car somewhere. I couldn't afford the bills that would come after and I would be grounded for life

There was few words from time to time during the ride to the lake house. Music was playing the throughout the whole drive and that somehow made us both relax and enjoy the silence that seemed to become normal the closer we got to the house.
It took me  forty minutes to reach there, but only because I drove a little bit fast. I couldn't drive any faster than that because I was afraid something would happen to Audine since he was looking so pale, but I arrived before Mrs White and Mylo and Lola. I was so excited to spend this day in one of my favorite places on this earth with Audine. I asked him to sit with me on the porch of the house to wait for the others because I didn't want to get in without Mrs Green's permission and I wasn't there for the house anyways. I was there for the Lake and the time with my friends. The weather was so beautiful that I almost cried out of gratefulness. It was sunny and the sky was the perfect shade of blue with the clouds that looked like it could be eaten. I have never been this grateful for the sunny weather before. If this was a regular day, I would've been so upset but not today.

Today is happiness and happiness only

" I had no idea you were a swiftie" Audine said while he was sitting next to me, watery blue eyes all fixed on the beautiful sky that seemed to share the same color as him that day. Could anyone be more in love than I was at that particular moment? I don't think so
