chapter 15

BIBLE POV:-

I couldn't stop throwing up
I heaved my head into the toilet, my stomach roiling, my skin drenched with sweat as kinn rubbed circles on my back.
He was livid. Not me, but at my father, my past. The entire situation. I could feel it in the tenseness of his hands and the aura barely leashed violence that swirled around him since I confessed my memories
The day at the lake had only been the tip of the iceberg. I'd remembered something else something that cemented my father's guilt

"Pa! Look!" I ran into his office brandishing the paper in my hands with pride. It was an essay I wrote for class on who we admired the most. I wrote about my dad. My teacher gave me an A plus on it and I couldn't wait to show him.
"What is it, bible?" He raised his eyebrow
"I got an A plus! Look!"
He took the paper from me and skinned it..but he didn't looked happy like I expected
My smile dimmed. Why was he frowning? Weren't A's good? He always praised Johnathan when he brought home A's
"What's this?"
"It's a paper about who I admire the most" i twisted my hands.. growing more nervous
"I wrote about you because you saved me"
I never remembered him saving me..but that was what everyone told me..they said I fell into a lake a few years ago and would've died if dad hadn't jumped in after me
"I did, saved you, didn't I?"
He finally smiled but it wasn't a nice smile
I suddenly didn't wanted to be here anymore
"You're eyes are just like your mother...a carbon copy of her eyes.."
I didn't knew what a carbon copy was but based on his tone..it wasn't a good thing, he stood and I instinctively stepped back until my legs hit the couch
"Do you remember what happened at the lake when you were five,darling wichapas?" He removed the nickname and called my by my real name..as he brushed his fingers against my cheek and I flinched.
I shook my head as I was too scared to speak
"That's the best..makes things easier" he smiled another ugly smile.
"I wonder if you'll forget this too?"
He picked up a throw pillow and pushed me down on the couch. I didn't had the time to respond before I lost the ability to breathe. The pillow pressed into my face, cutting off my oxygen supply, I tried to push it off but I wasn't strong enough, a strong hand locked my hands until j couldn't struggle anymore.
My chest tightened and my vision flickered
Not only he tried to drown me..but..he also tried to suffocate me.

I sank onto the floor. Kinn handed me a glass of water and I downed it with long gulps.
"I'm sorry.." I rasped
"Don't worry about it" he ran a gentle hand over my hair
"We'll figure everything out together, sunshine..leave it to me"

A WEEK LATER : kinn and I waited for my father to arrive in one of the theerapanyakul group's conference room. It was my first time seeing kinn's work place.
The door opened and my words died in my throat
My father- Mr sumettikul. I couldn't think of him as my father anymore.
Walked in confused and a little annoyed as well he had that damn signet ring
"What's going on?" Mr sumettikul frowned
"Why did you ask me to come here?"
"Mr sumettikul" kinn's voice seemed pleasant enough, only those who knew him would detect the lethal blade beneath his words, waiting to strike.
"Please take a seat" he gestured at the leather chair on the other side of the table. Mr sumettikul did. His Expressions growing more irritated
"I have work to do and you made me come all the way to here for a supposed emergency"
"I sent a car" kinn said
"Your car or mine..it take the same amount on time" his eyes flicked between me and kinn
I couldn't say anything. Kinn already knew everything..but Mr sumettikul and I needed to have a conversation alone
"Kinn..can you let us have a moment alone.. please?"
He released my hand before softly brushing his fingers against my fingers as he nodded slightly
"I'll be right outside"
He shot a dark look at mr sumettikul before he exited
There were only two of us now.
"Bible..are you in trouble?" He raised his eyebrows, yes I am. Because what the hell.
I wanted to be polite..I couldn't just say
Hey? How are you dad? Nice to see you! You tried to murder me right? Yes? Oh damn! Okay.
But I couldn't even bring a single word to my tongue
"I..I remembered"
"Remembered what, bible?"
"Everything...my childhood and the day I almost died"
The panicked look on his face made my heart ache, he really did, tried to kill me
"Really?" His chuckle sounded forced
"Are you sure? You've been having nightmares for years-"
"I'm sure" I looked at him eye to eye
"Were you the one who pushed me into the lake that day?"
"What!?" His eyes collapsed
"You heard me"
"No bible! Ofcourse not!..how could you think that!? I'm your father! I would never do anything to hurt you"
a bit of hope whispered through my heart
"Thats what I remember"
"Memories can decieve and we remember things that never actually happened"
"What exactly do you think happened?"
"I was pushed in the lake by someone who was wearing a signet ring..your signet ring"
His gaze dropped to his ring
"Bible"
He sounded pained
"I was the one who saved you from drowning"
And yeah, this is the part that's not making sense
"I came over to speak with your mother about the divorce, and no one answered the door even though her car was in the driveway I went back to see if she was there and then I saw-" Mr sumettikul swallowed hard
"It was the worst minutes of my life.. thinking you were dead..and I jumped in and saved you! And your mother just stood there in shock...she couldn't believe what had happened" his voice dropped
A pain ripped through my heart, what was real and what wasn't?
"That's another instance" I said shakily
"Third grade..I brought home an essay from my English teacher..Ms eliana's class and showed you! When we were in your office...you told me that my eyes are the carbon copy of my mother..and..and you pushed a pillow to my face and tried to suffocate me i-i would've died! But Johnathan came and called out your name and then you stopped"
The story sounded ridiculous from my words
"Bible,honey" he said softly and calmly
"You never had a teacher named Ms eliana"
My heart crashed against my chest
"I did! She had brown hairs and glasses! She would often come over to take care of me at our house.."
Tears started to form in my eyes
"I swear..she was real"
She had to be real! What if she wasn't? What was wrong with me? Why was my brain so messed up? What if I made everything up?
"Honey.." he reached for me but before he could touch me, the door banged open
"That's enough, stop lying" kinn strode in, his face like a thunder
"You're a good after but drop the mask now.. we're onto you" kinn said
"Bible, I'm your father, I would never lie to you"
I looked between Mr sumettikul and kinn
"I think you would.. you've been lying to me my entire life"
Mr sumettikul"s face twisted and turned into a mocking smile as he scoffed
"Excellent" he slow clapped
"I almost had you..you should've seen yourself" he said as he mocked me while chuckling, the ugly sound raised every hair on my body
"Classic, bible, you almost thought you were crazy"
I wanted to run and hide but adrenaline pushed the words out of my mouth
"Why? I was just a kid.. I'm your son, why would you do these things to me!"
"The truth is subjective" Mr sumettikul leaned back on his chair
"But you want to know so bad? Well here's my truth then!"
He flashed a humorless smile
"That's right, your bitch of my a mom cheated on me, must've been one of those times when I was away for business, she always complained about why I wasn't around enough, like it wasn't my fucking business that put roof over her head and kept her nice and warm in designer clothes, I always suspected that you weren't my son, you look nothing like me but I figured out and did a DNA test and it was proved that you weren't mine.. your mother tried to deny it but there wasn't much she could do with the evidence staring her in the face"
He said in a harsh way without caring about anything
"If I'm not your son then why did you fought for my custody?"
His face turned annoyed
"I didn't fought custody for you..I did it for Johnathan.. he's actually my son. The tests confirmed it. My legacy and my heir but since no one other then your mom knew that you weren't mine, you and Johnathan were a package deal"
I felt sick to my stomach as my tears rolled down my cheeks as kinn slowly pulled me close to him and rubbed my back slowly as his arm was around my waist as he looked at face to Mr sumettikul
"There's no statue of limitations for attempted murder and this entire conversation is recorded" kinn said
"Consented beforehand, you're going to the jail for a long time"

Mr sumettikul hissed
"Bible, he's a manipulater! He's not who you think he is!"
"enough! No more gaslighting him" kinn said
I watched in shock as two FBI agents burst into the room and hauled Mr sumettikul out of his chair, kinn didn't mentioned the FBI when we planned this..
"This won't hold up in court..I'll fight and you won't win and Johnathan will never ever forgive you for this..he worships me, who do you think he'll believe? Me, his father or you? A bastard he met few years go?"

"Well in this case..father..I'll be going with the "bastard that I met few years ago" kinn always"
He slammed his fist into Mr sumettikul's face and all hell broke loose
