KINN POV:-

I paid and left the restaurant immediately after bible,  he hadn't gotten far and I followed him discreetly to make sure he got home safe before I drove back to my home
I hated seeing him upset especially on a night when we could've been celebrating instead of fighting, I wanted to run after him and apologize for being a bitch but the clock was ticking and I needed to finish what I started
Only then I could put the past behind me once and for all
I stared at my computer screen, watching the minutes tick by.
I hadn't told bible the truth about many things
I didn't had urgent business to take care of before dinner, atleast none relevant to theerapanyakul group. Instead, I had been talking to my family's killer's killer
Bible was right- I had been distracted this past week, busy with my chess games, not the unfinished one with my uncle in the library but the one playing out in real life
I stared at the black screen of vortex, a fully encrypted messaging site popular amongst those in criminal underworld. Unhackable and untraceable, it was where most of the world's seediest transaction took place
A chill whipped around me
I hadn't bothered to turn the heater on
It's currently 12:00 am
A new message flashes onscreen
Midnight on the dot. Gotta appreciate the punctual killer
I read the message calmly, my blood running cold
No greetings, no questions, just a name, like I'd request.
I wired the rest of the money on the falcon and sat there in the dark mulling over the news
I knew, ofcourse I knew. All the evidences had pointed to it, but now I had my confirmation.
The man responsible for my family's death wasn't Mr sumettikul. Bible's father.
It was Ivan. My uncle.
