"What is Asami's favorite color?"
"Hmm, orange. Like the sunset."
"She's more romantic than I thought."
Sarina and Rindou are now on their way towards her apartment. She is on the lead as usual while the man follows behind her.
"Ah damn it. You need an elevator in this place."
"Says the rich guy who has his own way with money. Suck it up and be a man." The man's pair of purple eyes eyed the woman annoyingly.
"If you say some bullshit like that, I will never help you again." He responded with an annoyed tone.
"I'm just kidding, Rin-sama. What I meant to say is I highly appreciate your help." She replied with a sarcastic grin and opened the door of the apartment for the male. After they left the supermarket earlier, she spent the whole hour buying groceries since she also received her monthly salary. And so it happens that the man arrived on a perfect time so she sought his help. Which the man regretted doing later.
"Look at all these goods. Aside from being unhealthy, some are filled with plenty of preservatives." He commented while inspecting each of the bought goods by the thrifty lady. Here he is even when he is so against about helping the female earlier.
"It's fine. As long as we can afford it." The black-haired replied while focused on the receipt.
"Groceries today cost like gold." She added lowly which still took the man's attention.
"I guess it's fine. As long as we can eat three times a day." She continued and started dividing her remaining money on the table, which the man continued to observe.
Rindou chose not to say nor comment on anything. But at this moment, he further realized that the woman is living in her simplest way of life. He once offered her a better apartment and a better job, but she refused. She doesn't spend on things that she doesn't need much. She doesn't even buy things that she truly wants.
"Yosh. I will save this for emergency." She said...with a smile and walked towards her room.
Yes. She is happy and contented.
Something that the man lowkey recognizes.
"Alright. What would you like for dinner, Rin-sama? I'll prepare it for you for helping me out." Just as Rindou has finished unpacking the groceries, the woman bolted out back from her room with a satisfied grin.
"It's fine. It's my treat tonight." He replied and took his phone out. This gesture alone made the woman's face light up.
"Really?!" she asked excitedly.
"Ugh too loud." He complained with a frown.
"What made you so generous today? Did you wake up on the right side of the bed or something?" she asked which made the man scoff.
"Stop asking or I will cancel out my order." He answered with an irritated look and walked towards the living room.
"But seriously though, why?"
"Think of it as a reward for being friends with Asami Kimura. And for making that main character as cool as me." The man said honestly.
"Welcome, simpy boy. Though I didn't expect that you read my work."
