starting with my favorite one that has an entire notebook deicated to it:
The Corruption.
basically, the simulation that crashed and killed Gold exploded or some shit and the corruption that caused it to crash escaped and started corrupting people. as somebody who made a radio broadcast in-universe said,
"The Corruption. It's torn apart families, friendships, forced people into hiding, and driven them out of their own homes. It is unknown where it came from (in-universe), but it is the most dangerous thing we've seen in a while. It spreads by simply touching another person, making interacting with infected people extremely difficult.
It is advised to avoid infected people, for your own safety and and for the safety of everyone else. The corruption doesn't hurt the infected person directly. It kills off the others."
so yeah, the radio broadcasting person pretty much explained all that i would have to explain
