"What do you mean he's still alive?" Price asks. Price, Keegan, Konig, Ghost, Soap, Gaz and I all sit in one of the private meeting rooms. They are all looking at me, waiting on my response.

"It's exactly what I said." I say. "He's still alive. He wasn't killed in action."

"Star," Gaz says. "You realize how impossible that is right?"

"And yet I have evidence." I say and shrug. "The military gave up on him. His family gave up on him. I didn't. He's still out there and I'm going to bring him home."

"You can't." Ghost says.

"Why not?" I ask.

"Let's say hypothetically he is alive." Ghost says. "You find him and bring him home with trauma he has endured. His family is so happy to see him alive. They don't understand."

"They constantly bother him." Soap continues for Ghost. "He has no personal space or time to himself. He gets flashbacks and panic attacks. Those can turn into hurting himself or others. Best case scenario; he hurts himself or others not too bad."

"Worst case scenario," Price says. "He either kills himself or others." I swallow hard. I never thought about that.

"You guys don't understand." I say. "I understand what you're saying. But he's alive. He's out there. I...I need to find him." I shake my head. "Look." I pull the flash drive out of my pocket and plug it into the computer. I pull up multiple videos and photos I've collected over the past two years proving he's alive. "I'm not going crazy. That's him. He's alive." I feel a pair of hands on my shoulders and I choke back a sob.

"You want to apologize, don't you?" Ghost asks. I nod and break down crying in front of everyone. He turns me so I face him and pulls me in for a hug. "I'm sorry Star. I really am." I hear a click behind me.

"I'm going to hold onto this." Price says. I nod, knowing he's referring to all the evidence. Ghost continues to hold me as I cry.

Price lets me stay home and relax for the next few days. He checks in every day, twice a day and brings me food. He always watches me eat, probably wanting to make sure I actually eat. I ran out of tears this morning. No matter how sad I am, no tears appear. I'm currently laying on the couch with my head in Keegan's lap and my feet in Konig's lap. Ghost sits in my loveseat. Keegan runs his fingers through my hair and Konig runs his fingers along my shins and thighs. They put on a movie to help me relax but it's not working. I can't stop thinking about it.

Ghost sighs, turns off the tv, and plays some music instead. The song Summoning by Sleep Token comes on. Fuck I love this song. I sniffle and sit up, rubbing my eyes. "I'm hungry." I mumble.

"Italian or Mexican?" Ghost asks.

"Mexican." I say and look at him. "Thank you."

"Of course beautiful." He says. "Konig, text me what you want. Come on Keegan." Ghost and Keegan leave, leaving me and Konig alone. I haven't been along with him in weeks. I look at him.

"Are you okay?" He asks softly and pulls me onto his lap so I'm straddling it. I nod and give him a weak smile.

"I'll be okay." I admit. He looks concerned and worried.

"What was his name?" He asks and takes off his mask. "You've never mentioned his name before."

"John Davis." I say. "He's a Sargent." His eyes go wide.

"I know him." He says. "Well, knew him. He didn't like me. I was too quiet and aggressive for him." I smile and give him a small laugh.

"Sounds like him." I say. "He always hated the quiet ones." He smiles and chuckles.

"Yeah." He says, his hands resting on my hips. "He was a good guy though." I nod, agreeing with him. We sit in silence. He just holds me. When Ghost and Keegan come back, I've fallen asleep in Konig's arms.

The next chapter might be a little confusing so just bear with me. But trust me, I didn't forget about John Davis. He'll be mentioned a few more times. 💜💜💜
