KARTHIK

Grumpy people and bumpy rides!!!
Yup!!! I've been having a 'lot' of fun nowadays!!!

First it was my boss - The Neil Nayak and now it's my Shika's sister and her husband.

Difference here was that there my boss was a little too keen to know about my well being and here I'm being 'royally' ignored. Note the sarcasm.

It has been more than five hours and neither 'Ranasa' nor his 'Ranisa' bothered to ask me for a drop of water.

The moment her grandfather Mr Rony Khanna told me about her location is when I got curious. I kept asking them why she left but neither of them bothered to answer me and the way Lavanyaji glared at her old grandfather, he simply walked into his room putting his head down. I was shocked seeing his reaction but then I was even more shocked seeing Lavanyaji's reaction who stood infront of me folding her hands against her chest as she raised an eyebrow saying

'Why do you care Mr Karthik Shetty? You left her to her fate, so she could marry some rich and popular man!!! You even had the audacity to bring them home!!!'

'I am...I am sorry Lavanyaji!!! Actually your grandfather-'

'Vanshika Khanna is one hell of a strong, independent and self-made woman!!! The people who left her to her fate twelve years ago cannot barge into her life and decide what's good and bad for her. No one!!! Not even I...her sister can decide for her. Amongst everyone under this roof the only one person who probably had rights to decide for her was you!!! But your fantastic 'decision making skills' has even destroyed those rights now!!!

And anyways that's what my sister told everyone as she walked out of this house on that Karva Chauth night!!! My poor baby sister didn't even eat a morsel nor had a drop of water!!! She fasted for you!!! You fool !!! And look what you have done to her in return!!!' She said and my eyes filled with tears.

'I...I... I got scared-'

'She too was scared!!! She dreaded this Karthik!!! She was scared to fall in love again but she did and my goodness she fell harder!!! But you...you...how could you think that Shika would choose some random stranger over you? Didn't you see it in her eyes!!! I mean we saw the way she eyed you but you??? I mean really you need to get an eye checkup done!!!' She yelled and the moment my brain processed the words 'she fell harder' is when my ears went pink and tears rolled down my cheeks.

'So she loves me huh???' I whispered to myself when Lavanyaji rolled her eyes saying

'Can I like push him down from our terrace? He realised it now??? Like really??? Aankhein he ya aalu??? (Are those your eyes or potatoes???)' She questioned and I chuckled like a mental case. I thought they wont take me to the village where Shika went but looks like the twins are both unpredictable. Within the next thirty minutes we hit the road however since then there was pin drop silence.

I decided to finally break the silence as I saw a junction where I saw Phulvaspura written in big bold letters. The car stopped at the Dhabha and both husband and wife got down to fill their stomach. I however wasn't hungry. I wanted to see my Shika but then Adityaji knocked at the window saying

'It would be late night when we reach the village. We would be crossing dense forest!!! Better eat now!!!' and half heartedly I got down and ordered some Poha and tea. That's when there were a bunch of men discussing about some supernatural stories about that village and although I didn't want to listen to all of that, the way the old man narrated stories about some Chetkin in the village in green saree and long braid is when I gulped nervously. I slowly asked one of the man serving us food
