it was the morning after her birthday, the party had gone on until around 4am when people finally began going home. novah had stayed over in the guest room where noah's things were, sykkuno had joked the night before about how they were going to begin redecorating the room for the boy to officially move in.
the girl woke up at 11am, the house was quiet just like it had been the night before when they arrived, everyone was probably still asleep just as the boy who laid next to her. novah stared at him, for her he was the most beautiful person she had ever laid eyes on, his long eyelashes, the freckles sprinkled all over his face, his pink lips and the way his hair fell swiftly covering a bit of his face. novah didnt know if she was in love with the boy yet, but she had definitely never felt this way about anyone.
after deciding her staring for that long was weird and maybe even a little creepy she grabbed her phone from the night stand, she had a couple of messages from her dad that she hadn't opened yet, so she checked those before doing anything else.

novah felt her eyes water reading the messages, she had always been a dad's girl, even though she didnt see him often because he worked long hours and away from home most of the times whenever he was home he would spend a lot of time with his children, especially novah since she was the only girl. she wiped her tears and decided to start her day, she didnt have any clothes other than the ones she'd come with the night before but leslie had given her a pair of shorts and a shirt to sleep in last night, so she went to the bathroom and took a shower putting on the same pair of shorts but one of the boy's sweatshirt.
"why did you get up so early?" she heard as she walked out of the bathroom "come back to bed"
novah couldnt help but smile at the sight of the pouting boy with the sleepy face laying with his arms reaching for her, she sat down next to him brushing his hair out of his face
"its literally noon" novah said "what happened mr early bird?"
"we went to sleep like two hours ago, thats what happened" he mumbled
"it was not two hours ago" she chuckled "i need to go back home"
"no you dont" he pulled her down to lay in bed with him
"noah" she laughed "i do"
"just a bit longer" he said cuddling her and closing his eyes
it hadnt even been 5 minutes and novah could tell he had fallen back asleep by how his breathing had steadied, she heard a faint knock coming from the door and so she said a "come in" and saw tina open the door
"oh im sorry did i wake you?" she whispered trying not to wake up foolish who was sleeping
"no no, i was awake and so was him like 5 minutes ago but he made me lay down and then fell back asleep" the mexican explained
