the next morning after saying goodbye to her mom novah called noah to try and talk to him before both of their days got busy since she had plans with charity and finn and he was surely streaming before the party, but his reply didnt come through until around an hour before she was supposed to run out, so she decided to go see him before meeting up with her friends.
he opened the door for her once she arrived and without saying much they both walked to the boy's room, he shut the door behind them and she sat on his gaming chair turning to face him.
"okay" she sighed "i just wanna know whats happening"
"i dont know" he mumbled
"what do you mean you dont know?" she asked "you've been acting like an asshole and at first i tried to convince myself that i was over exaggerating but i dont think i am anymore"
"im sorry" he told her
"i need a little bit more than that" novah said "why have you been ignoring me?"
"i dont know" he repeated
"well there has to be a reason noah!" she exclaimed "so please think deep and tell me"
"i dont know i guess at first i was a little jealous and then i was playing with punz and he introduced me to cate and lola and i just lost track of time and then the next day lola wanted me to teach her how to properly play valo and i guess i just got too into it" he explained
"you were jealous?" novah was confused, what could he be jealous of? "what were you possibly jealous of?"
"that night when etoiles took your phone and hung up?" he said feeling a little silly now that he was saying it out loud
"etoiles is both of our friends noah" the girl sighed "and i would never EVER betray you like that"
"yeah i know" he whispered "but then i realized there's probably thousands of guys out there who are into you and that are way better for you"
"but im with you" she fought "im dating you and at the end of the day the only one i want is you"
"and i know that" he ran his hands through his face "i've been thinking about how bad i've been treating you and it's been eating me alive"
novah's phone rang, it was finn asking if she was still going, she checked the time noticing she was almost 30 minutes late.
"shit yeah so sorry i'll be there soon" novah hung up "listen i have to go but i dont want us to be like this anymore, just please talk to me when you feel this way please dont shut me out"
"fine" noah sighs "we'll talk i promise" but it wasnt fine, in noah's mind novah leaving this conversation as easily as she was was not okay, however they were a step closer to being better and he didnt want to be the reason for their estrangement again so he stayed quiet, he kissed her goodbye and walked her out the door.

novah was now at a donut shop with charity and finn after hanging out for a couple of hours, they had just ordered 10 dozens of a variety of donuts to bring to the strike site, they were told it would take around an hour or two for them to be ready so the three headed out to a nearby park, charity had brought her roller skates and finn had his skateboard so while the curly haired girl did circles around them, finn decided to trey and teach novah how to skate.
"okay just like that" the boy said
"finn i swear if you let me fall" the girl warned
