I was sitting in my room, doing homework. William sat on my bed, petting Tadeo and playing on his D.S. We both jumped when the door flew open. My uncle stormed over and grabbed me by the hair.

"Where the hell have you been the past couple of day?" He growled at me.

"I, I told you. I texted you," I grunted out, holding onto his hands to try and relieve some of the pressure.

I let out a sharp yelp as he threw me to the ground. The look on my brother's face was heartbreaking. Tadeo had been trying to break free out of William's grip whilst he whined quietly.

My Uncle pointed a finger at my brother. "Get out!" He barked.

My brother scrambled and took the dog with him.

A hard kick landed on the side of my face. I cried out in pain and covered my face with my arms. My Uncle was relentless. I thought it was never going to end. My head was pounding and and everything stung.

Once he had ceased his kicking and punching I slowly tried to get up. I gasped when he grabbed me by my throat and shoved me into the wall. I coughed and wheezed, desperate for air.

I was saved by my phone which had started to ring. My uncle dropped me and I gasped deeply for air.

"Answer it," He spat.

I nodded meekly. I shakily reached for my phone and fumbled it open. I pressed the answer button and put it on speaker.

I swallowed thickly before I spoke, "Hello?" I said steadily.

"Hello Mathieu, I don't know if Tamaki told you, but we would like to invite you to live at our main estate," Shizue's gentle and calm voice said through the phone. My Uncle's face went to stone.

"I have to make sure it's okay with my Uncle, would you like to speak to him?" I asked.

"Of course," Shizue said. I handed him my phone shakily. He took it and exited the room.

I let out a breath I hadn't known I had been holding. I collapsed against the wall and let out a deep sigh of relief.

Everything hurt. It hurt to breathe and it hurt to move.

I got back up, only to jump when my Uncle suddenly came back into my room. He shoved my phone into my hands and kicked me onto the ground, making me let out a sharp cry.

"Pack your shit, and get out of my fucking house!" He yelled. I only nodded and scrambled to pack all the things I held dear. I didn't have much so I packed two suitcases.

William helped me to the limo.

"Are you going to be okay?" He asked worriedly, getting Tadeo into the car.

"I will be," I said to him softly. He wrapped his arms around me gently and held onto me for a few minutes.

"Stay safe," I told him as he let go. He nodded tearfully and I got into the limo.

Once I arrived a maid grabbed my suitcases and another one grabbed Tadeo. Shizue came out to greet me.

When I got out of the car her face was terse. I internally grimaced and hoped she wouldn't be mad at me.

"I'm sorry Suoh-Sama, I didn't have enough time to clean myself up, " I said quietly.

"Hush child," She demanded, rushing me inside.

She brought me to a small room and a doctor walked in. They patched me up. Gauze was placed on all of my cuts. Ice was applied to all of my bruises.

"Why don't you go settle in dear, Tamaki will get you when it's time for dinner," Shizue said, rubbing my back. I nodded and she had a maid show me to my room.

It was ginormous. It was almost ten times bigger than my room at my Uncle's. The walls were pearly white with gold accents. The floor was a beautiful dark wood that complimented the white and gold. I had a balcony and large windows on either side of it. There was a bathroom on the other side of the room, connected to my closet.

I jumped when there was a knock on my door.

"Come in," I called. Tamaki opened the door and Tadeo came running in. Tamaki froze upon seeing me. I felt overly self-conscious and rubbed my arm.

"Did he do this?" He whispered. I couldn't help but avoid his eyes. Tamaki walked over to me slowly and wrapped his arms around me gently. I practically melted in his arms. He felt so safe and warm, I couldn't help but cling onto him and cry.

"It's okay, Mathieu,  you're safe now," Tamaki soothed, rubbing my back and petting my hair.

"I love you so much, Tamaki," I choked, gripping onto the back of his shirt as I cried into his shoulder.

"I love you more than words can even describe," Tamaki whispered.

He brought me to my bed and sat down, pulling me into his lap. He kissed my bruised cheek.

"Are you going to be okay?" Tamaki asked.

I could only manage a small nodded as I wiped my tears away. "The doctor said that it was just a lot of bruising, but I should still be careful while I heal," I said quietly.

Tamaki helped me into some clean clothes. He carefully slipped a black long sleeve over my head and handed me a pair of grey sweatpants. We cuddled with Tadeo for a little while before it was time for dinner.

When I got into the dining room, the air changed. It was tense and it set my nerves on the edge. I sat down next to Tamaki. Tadeo came down but a brown ball of fur bounded toward him.

"Did you get a new dog?" I asked.

Tamaki grinned. "Her name is Antoinette! Isn't she cute?" He chirped. I smiled gently.

Tadeo was a little weary of Antoinette. They sniffed each other and thankfully got accustomed to each other.

After the tense dinner, Tamaki brought me to his room.

"I'm so glad you're here, finally," Tamaki said softly, wrapping me in his arms. I hugged him back tightly.

As long as I wasn't at that house, I was safe.
