Everyone was buzzing around, trying to set up for the fair. Tadeo and I stayed out of the way so none of us would get stepped on or hurt. Tamaki looked so mature as he and Kyoya directed workers and other students.
Then, Mori, Honey, and the twins showed up with a horse-drawn carriage.
Tamaki Climbed aboard and beckoned Haruhi, Kyoya, and I to do so too.
"Hey Matt-Chan!" Honey greeted as I lifted Tadeo into the carriage.
"Hey, Senpai," I smiled.
I took my seat next to Tamaki. I gasped slightly when Tadeo stood on his hind legs to look at the other students. For a second I thought I was about to jump out.
Tadeo stomped his feet happily as stood on his hind legs, resting his paws on the railing as we passed the screaming girls. We waved and made our rounds and then we went to go get dressed for the first part of the Ouran fair.
After getting dressed in our first outfit, I crouched down and tied a red ribbon to Tadeo's collar. I clipped on his leash and then stepped out of the dressing room.
"Mathieu, wait just a moment please?" Kyoya beckoned.
I sighed and stayed put while I waited for him to finish whatever he was doing. He gently adjusted and centered my tie and then patted my shoulder.
"Have fun," Kyoya told me before he walked away.
As the Salon was opened to the general public, Tadeo followed by my side while I passed out refreshments and chatted up the ladies' and their parents.
I jumped when an arm wrapped suddenly around my shoulders.
"Just a heads up, Uncle is here," My brother said in my ear.
"Great," I grumbled. William gave my shoulder a reassuring squeeze before he leaned down to pat Tadeo.
There was a loud smack and the room went quiet. Kyoya was on the ground, picking up his glasses. I didn't hear what his father said but I couldn't care. I couldn't just let him sit there like that and be belittled. I set my tray down and went over to Kyoya.
I didn't care if he was a complete ass but he was still my friend. "You okay?" I asked quietly. He nodded and stood up, completely composed.
"Mathieu," My uncle suddenly paged. I froze and turned to see him standing directly behind me. Tadeo let out a low growl and my Uncle waved his foot at him making Tadeo hide behind me.
"What can I do for you, Uncle?" I asked professionally, looking him in the eyes.
"We need to have a little discussion," My Uncle said lowly, his gaze filled with malice.
I could have cried with relief when Tamaki's father, the chairman walked over.
"Sorry, Hotaru, but I need to borrow Mathieu for a little while, you don't mind, do you?" Yuzuru smiled politely.
