Ch.22 Who are you?

"Jaekyung," Dan whispered to himself, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I have fallen in love with you, deeply and completely."

During midterms, despite Dan's dedication to focusing on his studies, Jaekyung had persistently reached out, offering opportunities to spend time together amidst the busy exam period.

True to his commitment, Dan had declined most of Jaekyung's invitations, determined to prioritize his academic responsibilities. However, Jaekyung's genuine care and understanding had never wavered. He recognized the importance of Dan's studies, yet also valued their connection and wanted to support Dan through this challenging time.

During their brief encounters, Jaekyung would suggest studying together at the library, knowing that Dan might appreciate the company and find solace in their shared presence. He understood that sometimes having a supportive lover could make the burdens of studying feel lighter.

"Hey, sweetheart." Jaekyung would say with a warm smile, holding his textbooks. "I know you're focused on your midterms, but I thought it might be helpful to study together."

Dan, grateful for Jaekyung's considerate gesture, would flash a tired yet appreciative smile.

 "That sounds like a good idea," he would reply, realizing that studying with Jaekyung by his side could provide a sense of comfort and encouragement during the intense exam period.

In the library, they would find a quiet corner, their textbooks and notes spread out before them. Together, they would delve into their respective subjects, occasionally glancing at each other and sharing a supportive nod or a brief moment of lighthearted conversation.

As time permitted, they would take short breaks, stepping outside for fresh air or enjoying a meal together. These moments of respite allowed them to temporarily set aside the academic pressure and enjoy each other's company.

As Dan noticed Jaekyung's newfound dedication to studying, he couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and delight. It seemed that their relationship had inspired Jaekyung to adopt some of Dan's studious habits, leading him to wear glasses and hoodies, which only served to enhance his already handsome appearance.

Every time Dan glanced over at Jaekyung, he couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth spreading across his cheeks. The sight of Jaekyung's focused expression, with his glasses perched on his nose and his hoodie adding a touch of casual charm, was enough to make Dan's heart skip a beat.

Amidst the quiet atmosphere of their study sessions, Dan found it increasingly difficult to concentrate. His eyes would wander to Jaekyung from time to time, captivated by the way he immersed himself in his work. He admired his determination and commitment, appreciating the effort Jaekyung had made to align their routines.

Whenever their eyes met, Dan's blush would deepen, and a shy smile would curve his lips. "You look incredibly handsome when you're studying," he would whisper, his voice filled with affectionate admiration. "I can't focus properly with you looking so irresistible."

"Baby, do you want to do some other kind of studying now?" Jaekyung leaned over and smirked.

"No...not now Jae! I want to focus now!" Dan refused shyly.

Jaekyung would respond with a gentle chuckle, removing his glasses briefly to meet Dan's gaze. "You're the one who inspires me to be my best," he would say softly, his voice filled with sincerity. "I want to match your dedication and make you proud."

Their playful yet supportive dynamic continued to flourish, breathing life into their study sessions. In between the pages of textbooks and the scribbles of notes, their connection deepened even further.
