We had flown back to the edge with the skrill in tow, I was carrying it with a large net. The skrill was fairly quiet aside from the odd comment about the riders, some of which were somewhat humorous. Landing in the arena I set the skrill down in the center as the large down closed over us. Steve was in there as well; however, he was still asleep as usual. looking at the purple wyvern i removed it from the net. Once it was free the skrill quickly took up a more defensive posture.

Skrill : "what do you want now."

As he spoke his words had a venomous edge to them as he watched my every move. Positioning myself between him and the entrance, I sat down and looked at him.

y/n / Strax : "I don't want anything... well nothing you can grant me at least, my associates however? they seek to help you."

Skrill : "sure, like how they "helped" me last time by sealing me in a glacier for YEARS!!!"

As he spoke lightning crackled along his scales creating a faint blue glow as the energy danced along his body as he grit his teeth in anger.

y/n / Strax : "I do not agree that they had put you through, however you surely know of the hunters and a certain madman that I've heard had you under his thumb a long while ago?"

Skrill : "Dagur..."

y/n / Strax : "precisely. You seem like an intelligent wyvern, what do you think would happen if Dagur got hold of you again? He would enslave you, if not worse."

Skrill : "but that is no excuse for locking me in ice for YEARS."

y/n / Strax : "your right, it isn't. From what I've heard Hiccup had made a VERY poor call in refreezing you just to try to keep you out of their hands, but he now recognizes that and wishes to make amends."

Skrill : "do you honestly expect me to believe that!? Before you and that nadder said something they WERE going to put me back in there! I can't exactly forgive them now can i!?"

y/n / Strax : "whether you choose to forgive them is entirely up to you however they are willing to try to help keep you out of Dagur's and the hunter's hands with your freedom intact. If nothing else by accepting their aid you get your freedom back and you do not get put in the ice or worse. So what do you say?"

At my offer the skrill thinks for a moment as the lightning that was once dancing atop his scales slowly dissipates and his expression softens a bit.

Skrill : "I get to fly free again?"

y/n / Strax : "that is correct."

Taking a deep breath in and letting an even longer sigh out the skrill nodded his head slowly in agreement.

Skrill : " fine, but if I get any feeling something is up I'm leaving."

y/n / Strax : "I've no qualms about that."

With that i got up and moved out of the way of the entrance to let the riders and the dragons in. as they came in i noticed Toothless and the skrill angrily eyeing each other which it seems Hiccup also noticed.

Hiccup : "Hey bud i don't think it's a good idea for you guys to be near each other yet."

At that Toothless quickly turned his attention to Hiccup as his expression softened and after a moment of silence he nodded in agreement.
